My timeline still has me and Anna about 3 weeks out, but I'm hoping beyond hope everyday! I stopped checking the timeline and USCIS website every day a while ago, but now I'm back to spending hours looking at VJ and USCIS site!!! Off to England in 3 days, it'd be grand to come back home with an NOA2 waiting for us to work on!!!

We're getting the paperwork together for NVC now. Got the police and birth certificates (with apostille and all that jazz). Now working on financial stuff!

I'm having a moment of insecurity about the 'proof of ongoing marital relationship' that I sent along with our initial petition. Here's what we did, if anyone else is in a similar situation please let me know what they sent along, and how it panned out. Sorry for the lengthier post:

1.) We initially intended to file for a K1, and have a purely religious ceremony in England on July 30th of 2011, then immigrate and have the legal marriage in the US per the rules.

2.) England put the kibosh on this, saying that any religious ceremony HAD TO BE legal as well. 90% of the family is in England, so switching the religious wedding to America was not a fantastic idea.

3.) Therefore, my wife came to the US again, and we got married by a Justice of the Peace following all the legal requirements, and became legally married.

4.) The religious ceremony is still planned for July 30th, 2011. W

5.) We filed an I-130 Petition about 5 days after the marriage, and submitted the following documents:

a.) 3 signed affidavits, one from my mother, one from each of her parents, (not notarized, which I regret) which detailed our relationship, that we've purchased a home for when she gets here (though it is only in my name right now b/c she wasn't present at the closing), etc. Her father's affidavit mentioned that we were planning a 'religious ceremony' for July 30th of this year.

b.) Photos of our entire relationship, from meeting in Haiti up until the marriage (including the marriage at the courthouse, though the wedding photos are not the big-shebang kind of wedding we're planning for July 30th's ceremony)

c.) About 40 pages of daily e-mails/texts, just the summaries, not the entire e-mails. The summaries alone were 40 pages.

d.) Plane tickets for frequent visits, boarding passes, etc.

e.) Expensive phone bills

f.) Legal marriage certificate

g.) All other required documents for I-130

That's it, I'm just curious if you guys view that as sufficient evidence? I got nervous because I was reading about someone's I-130 troubles with a China consulate because they didn't have children, co-tenancy documents, etc. For the interview we can get a ton more evidence, including pay-pal receipts and sending of $ back and forth, the deed to the house (though it only has my name, again), more visits, more photos, more pages of transcripts, skype records, etc.

Thanks, let me know what you think!

-Jim

Jim that sounds absolutely fine to me. To be honest, China has a much higher level of fraud than England, so they do often require evidence which to us seems crazy.

I would say that you successfully front-loaded you petition though, so I hope you hear something soon!!
