Can you share the links for these guides? I also was under the impression that from the time you get NOA2 to the interview, it should only take a month or two. But then I was looking at the timelines page and saw that the avg. number of days from NOA2 to interview was actually longer than the time between NOA1 and NOA2. I SURE HOPE NOT

That's pretty much what I've read as well. I think that what takes the longest is getting your NVC case # and then getting SIF and CC. Other than that, everything else depends on how quickly you send the paperwork and make the fee payments

The reason why there was a huge gap between the time of NOA2 and interview might be because the embassy took a long time to schedule the interview or gave an interview date that was 2 or 3 months away. There are embassies though that give interview dates only a month away from when the person's case was completed. It all depends on the beneficiaries country.

Not yet, my husband will try and give them a call once we are at our 5 month mark which is on March 28th...hopefully we don't need to!

lbjr I most definitely agree! I'm kind of wishing my case was at CSC right now. I don't think they have enough manpower @ VSC to approve their cases in a reasonable timeframe. Plus they seem to give other types of visa a higher priority than those which are family based.

Soba, I've called twice already. The second time around the agent was going to put in a service request but when she checked which cases are being reviewed she told me they were only up to Sept 25th (I called last Wednesday, March 16th). They aren't going to put in my service request until their system says the are looking at or have already looked at Oct 12th cases. I'm going to keep calling until I get that service request or an approval. Did you call them on Friday? I'm curious to know what date they may have told you they are currently reviewing.

I know Montreal for a while had a backlog of 5-7 months between CC at NVC and the interview. It seems to have dropped back to about 2-3 months now, but I remain prepared to hear a 5-month interview date (that is, if I ever get out of USCIS).

The same happened @ Dom. Rep. People were getting interview dates 3 or 4 months away but lately it seems they are getting them only a month after their case was closed. I hope the trend continues but I'm just going to prepare myself for the worst, especially since these ppl don't seem to want to approve my case
