Hey Novella Many Congratz. We will rock the NVC together. We need to get a case number by calling in at 603-334-0700 (takes about 1-2 weeks I guess) and once we get that go ahead and give the email addresses to the operator next and get an IIN (invoice identification number).

Lets get here first and discuss the rest later on. Good Luck :)

Hi BK21....what was ur RFE for what documents u had to collect ...please let us know so we can be prepared ...thanks

Jaan I had a RFE for the birth certificates for my two children because they were not made at the time of birth. So they wanted to see more proof of biological relationship from their childhood years to make sure I am the father.I think this is a standard procedure for them to ask for this for any BC that has been made recently. I had tons of evidence to provide so I breezed through the RFE. Hopefully they won't ask for any evidence at any later stage cos they have plenty of documents and pictures.

and many thanks to canadalove and marjus's girl. Hope you have smooth sailing too.

NVC wont ask for evidence just official documents but at the interview you must bring more evidence. CIS, NVC and the Embassy VIsa Unit are three different entities under the Department of State. So be prepared at every step as if you never dealt with the other step!

hey good my file just got tuch today.but I HAVENT RECIVE ANY TEXT OR E-MAIL ABOUT APPROVING THE CASE.

Which is proof (if you needed it) that touches don't mean a thing. :hehe: Anyway, I'm taking it as a sign they're now actively working on our cases (as I also got touched today), and we'll hear something either by the end of the week or by the end of next week.

Holding my nose and jumping off the cliff.. hope I don't hit any rocks in the water.
