October/November 2010 Immigrant Visa filers (CR-1/IR-1)

It's a statistics game. 7 months + 3 months wait averages to 5 months wait. It's a ploy to keep the average at 5months while rushing people through the system. I hope that they're not just kicking the can down the road so to speak and not processing Oct/Nov people to keep the stats looking good for them.

ahh...yes good point..I hope so too ..I'm going on 4 months and I think each day wait now seems like 3...I was hoping to wait until interview to see husband but I'm not going to hold out..hopefully though get approval and am in atleast the nvc stage when i go..

It will be 4th month for us on 18 I don't understand why November cases are being ignored when Jan applicants hne started getting touches ? I'm bit scared but still hopefully that things will go in our favor in march

yeah i'm getting scared to it seems like its jumping from Sept to jan and feb i have seen like 3 Feb filers approved and I think they all said wasn't expedited..I'm scared Oct/Nov will be like July/Aug filers..hopefully we see some of us approved this week...

Hey Everybody,

I just received an email from NVC and we finally got our interview date! It's been 4 long months since the approval.

I feel very happy now. For a while my wife and I we're feeling frustrated and confused about what's taking so long.

Just know that I understand your feeling of waiting and waiting. Your day will come soon

I have no idea maybe marjua's girl knows as she wrote that. The Jan one I saw said their expedition request was denied but they got their noa2 almost 2weeks later

Thanks SgdnGuns. Never once prior to filing did I even consider such a level of incompetence could exist in what *seemed* to be such a well orchestrated system. How wrong was I.

Just want you to know that if I, and other filers pass the 5 months mark I will be following in your footsteps and starting a ruckus.

I hope your son and wife are both bearing up, and that the NVC get their head out of whatever sand they have it buried in and start moving things faster. After all the USCIS bull**** the last thing needed is for NVC to be dragging their heels.

Yet another government agency that should be privatized, contracts awarded to the most competent. When you have no competition for your job, you can screw up all day, and still be assured your paycheck at the end of the week. Socialism...it's good for those who just want to get to the next meal.

Just spoke to NVC, the Embassy approved the expedite request last week and NVC sent everything to Bangkok on Friday the 25th!!

Looks like the wife and son can be home in a few weeks, at least by the end of the month!!

On a side note, YES, I did raise a lot of HELL and pissed off my Congressman but I had valid/legit reason to do so. Being approved for an expedite due to my sons health last November 8th and nothing happened, you bet, I pi$$ed off some people until someone HEARD me.
