I truly believe the timelines are not accurate because of the mess up with the CSC-TSC guys. Its screwing up the averages entirely, so ive decided to ignore mine for now!

Ive never been good at waiting for things. Im about the most impatient person going. I hope to have learnt some patience by the end of this! (3 months in and I swear ive got worse, not better!)

I definitely think your estimates are skewed because of the CSC-TSC-CSC situation. Timelines are not included in the calculation for the estimates until there is an NOA2, so when people (like me) were finally approved and entered in NOA2 dates that were 6, 7, or 8 months after our NOA1, it messed with the averages. I wouldn't pay too much attention to the VJ estimates if I were you. I would just keep expecting it to take five months (while hoping that it will be faster, of course) and keep an eye on Igor's list to see what the NOA1 dates were for recently approved petitions.

08.03.2010: Sent I-130 (Received at Chicago Lockbox on 08.05.2010 – Priority Date)
08.24.2010: NOA1 – Notice Date (Case transferred from CSC to TSC on 11.02.2010 and back to CSC on 02.07.2011)
02.11.2011: NOA2 – Approved! (hard copy received on 02.17.2011)

NVC – 46 days
02.26.2011: Got NVC case number from AVR (entered on 02.24.2011)
02.28.2011: Called operator to give email addresses and get IIN; emailed beneficiary's change of address and DS-3032; received instruction emails from NVC; AOS fee bill invoiced and paid
03.01.2011: AOS fee shown as "paid"
03.03.2011: DS-3032 accepted; beneficiary's address updated by NVC; IV fee bill invoiced and paid

Regarding timelines, last I checked mine, it was right on 5 months plus a week from when the lockbox received my petition, so I'm currently cool with that. I'm going to go with that for now, not gonna look and see May (although that /would/ be an awesome anniversary present!) :whistle:

congrats!!!!!!! Glad to finally see that we have another approval...I actually am thinking there are more approvals out there just not updating timelines...I know that our site depends deeply on timeline from updates...so I just pray that everyone will remb to update as you go...right now my timeline keeps inching farther away :((

Here's my question... did the people who have been getting approvals have "estimated approval dates" of Mar/Apr or Apr/May and get approved anyway? Or did they see their est. date was very close to current date?

Congrats Dvican!!!

Our estimated date jumped around quite a bit. Igor's list was our savior. Not only look at the bottom in the month that you filed, see where they are on the list approving by looking at the last 10 approved right under the dropdown boxes. This will tell you how fast they're approving and how far from you they are. I kept an eye on the NOA1 dates being approved as they do try to somewhat stay in order of receipt. Hope this helps some....hang in there and start prepping/reading for NVC......it happens sooner than you expect and when you least expect!!!!! B-):dance::thumbs:
