Yes! Its definitely a worry. However the fact that it hasnt happened in 16 years makes me hopeful that it is just dramatics and that nothing will come of it.

Funny thing is, my only worry when starting this process was that my bona-fide evidence was going to be enough. However now my worries are all about USCIS' incompetence...fingers crossed!!!

Yeah, I worried about that too --- stupid mistakes I made. I read somewhere in one of the guide books I bought that the statements didn't have to be 'notarized' just signed with a solemn statement about penalty of perjury, so the statements from her parents and mine weren't notarized. But I did send quite a few photos, about 20 pages of phone call logs, a condensed list of 700 pages of back and forth e-mails and texts, and all the required documentation, so I hope that they aren't too horribly picky.

I have to say, I'm a proud American that loves my country, but I am more and more disheartened by this process and our government. Its only been 3 months, and I just want the wait to be over and to have our lives together, but instead we're wrapped, completely out of our control, in the power of a government that can't even write a budget for itself. Very frustrating. A backlog of 5 months for work that amounts to 20-30 minutes of time per accurately filed case would get a leader fired in absolutely any private industry.

Anyway, I also wanted to say (especially to you Amy and Nick), thank God for this forum and this particular thread. I'm stressed with this whole process, and its very helpful to have a group to talk to about it thats going through the same stuff.

It sounds to me like you have plenty of evidence! I completely overdid my evidence, and im still not sure if this was a good or bad thing to do!

I totally agree about the forum. I think if I hadnt found VJ id be chewing my hubbys ear off about how tired I am of the wait. He couldnt be more different to me. I want to know every piece of information out there, I even read all the threads completely unrelated to my case! He on the other hand just wants to forget about the whole process, and when it comes, it comes!

It definitely helps to talk it all out, and seeing everyone else going through the same process definitely makes it more bearable somehow!

LOL I can relate to both of you so easily...I've been a good citizen paid taxes, followed the rules and legalities of living in USA..born and raised in NC...and yet..fell in love with someone thousands of miles away but truly my soul mate... we just want to be together...start our own family...see the kids grow up and become grandparents...all the things a couple in love should have...and yet..here we all are on this forum waiting on a piece of paper telling us its ok..go ahead you have approval to live a happy life...he's the one who keeps me level headed...i read all these things...get overwhelmed and scared and then cry...he simply says..all that matters is I love you and I'll love u until the end of time...ur my wife and im your husband...that will never cease...

so...come onnnnnnnnnnnn CSC and let us all see those pieces of paper that tell us its ok to be happy and live a full loving married life!!!!!

I agree, I try not to get cynical about it or anything, and I really do understand the govt's need to ensure that the process isn't abused and to do background checks, but man do I wish they'd go faster on these things and take a look at some of the redundancy and weirdness of the laws, and the undue stress and difficulty it puts on law abiding citizens.

exactly and even my husband says that there are ppl who marry only for green card...and he also agrees with the scrutiny of the individuals but when you place someone on ap for a year and then find out there's nothing wrong...that just isnt right...it is truly our right as us citizens to marry who we want and to be happy...i dont mind waiting a few months but when I also see permanent residents obtaining visas quicker I get a little frustrated...nothing against them having their loved ones here but we shouldnt have to wait so long either... ;(

Well Monday is a federal holiday... (lol Im off bcos I work at a bank) but i'm guessing we wont see any approvals tomorrow..so here's to many new approvals this coming week!!!

Did anybody ever figure out if the sudden change in timelines was due to anything legitimate? I know mine leaped from early March to mid April in just a few days.

Yeah, I was wondering too ... I'm not a October/nov filer, but my timeline was middle of April in the beginning and arrived in mid June. Is it really just because of the still not approved JuneJulyAugust filers???

Ha ha. I'm scared to check my timeline. One day I'll log in and it may say......you case is scheduled to be adjudicated when pigs fly. LOL.

:rofl: yeah i'm alittle worried to look now too..but hopefully they're not accurate do to the July/Aug filers being put back..someone said i dont know which thread to make it accurate they need to switch their timelines to TSC to make everything accurate...but who knows..hopefully they have them approved by March 1st as promised..and everything will be straightened out..well as well as it can be being from the government....
