hey guys i have a question..obviously getting paperwork around for NVC stage..(trying to be positive..lol) I was wondering do we send proof of relationship to NVC or does my husband take to interview?..if i send it with NVC does that mean the consulate would see it ahead of time or would NVC just toss it out? I'm talking about chats, pics, bills etc..Thanks for info..and Good luck to us..the recent approvals have made me feel some better:)

I am sure your NOA2 is around too :D

*crosses fingers* Should be about a week or two behind you, if things keep up the way they have been..

@marjus' girl: You can send more proof of relationship to NVC, who will then forward it on to the embassy, if I'm reading things correctly. From what I understand, sometimes the embassy doesn't ask for or even want to see relationship proof at the time of the interview, so sending it to NVC will ensure the embassy sees it. It shouldn't affect anything at NVC.

Holding my nose and jumping off the cliff.. hope I don't hit any rocks in the water.

thanks for the info.. i just thought maybe if they see ahead of time some good proof it would help some of these consulates seem to make up their minds before the interview..and i know some are considered hard and some easy..

Hi, I'm pretty sure that you should only send what is required to the NVC with the DS-230 (civil documents such as certified/original marriage certificates, beneficiary's birth certificate, beneficiary's police certificate, photocopy of biographic page of passport, etc.). The documents are listed here:

http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3195.html

Any other proof of a bona fide marriage should be brought to the consulate interview, along with photocopies of all of your civil documents so you can get the originals back. That's my understanding according to this guide and many others that I've read.

 I second that motion and I'm an August CSC-TSC-BLACKHOLE filer too.

Hi guys, I'm just a visiting August filer (one of the CSC to TSC and back to CSC victims), and I felt like saying something. I know some people are very bitter from having waited so long and are taking it out on you guys a little bit. I understand the bitterness and frustration (I'm extremely upset myself, and I haven't been waiting as long as others, nor is my situation as dire as others' situations), but I also know that it's in no way your fault. I remember feeling incredibly impatient even a couple of months into the process – even though it's estimated to take five months, it's only natural to hope it will be quicker than that, and it hurts to be belittled by others who have been waiting longer, as if your own pain doesn't matter.

That said, it is only fair for us transfers (who were at CSC to begin with and should have already been adjudicated) to be processed first, and I know you guys know that. Honestly though, I don't think it should have too big of an impact on you. CSC is very efficient (in relative terms... we are talking about a government agency here), and they've promised to clear us out by March 1. I think almost all of you should still be approved within the five-month time frame (which, I know, feels like an eternity). I know you've heard this all before, but I felt like sharing some goodwill with you guys. I hope you don't have bad feelings towards the CSC-TSC-CSC transfers who are now jumping back in line ahead of you (back to where we should have been, really!), and please know that most of us don't have any bad feelings towards you! We're mostly just thinking of ourselves anyway and just hoping that USCIS is really going to follow through on their promises and that this nightmare will end soon.

The very best of luck to all of you!

i hope you seriously breeze through CSC this time, hope you will get approval next week if not this week.

I hope that this transfer should not affect the Nov/Dec/Jan filers processing time as well and hope all of them breeze through CSC as well along with the transfer applicants.
