I am absolutely amazed at the behavior of some of the individuals on this forum. While I fully understand and appreciate their frustrations, and if I were in the same position *heaven forbid*, I would be as equally frustrated.

What I would never do, however, is wish the same fate upon somebody else. I think it's immature at best and those folks should truly be ashamed of themselves. Karma certainly will continue to pay dues. I think it's borderline disgraceful to come onto a forum and spew such distasteful opinions in attempt to rain on one another's parade.

This entire process is excruciating for everyone, regardless of file date. We're supposed to be here to support and encourage one another - not act as a deterrent.

It's my sincere hope that the US Immigration rectify these situations and prevent any further delays for anyone who is going/will go through this process.

All The Best,

As a early July filer, I am happy that you will be renewed with your loved ones sooner than later. Im angry at USCIS, the whole transfer fiasco, and how they look good when they approve cases in 3 months, while others are waiting 7 months since their NOA1 like me...7 months and 2 days today for me. They look good in your eyes, but once a mass transfer happens, watch out...you will see USCIS at its worst, giving nonsense answers, sending you a letter saying if you havent heard anything in 9-12 months from the "service request" letter, call them. It really has made me lose any sort of confidence in our immigration system. Congratulations to all that have been approved..dont worry, Im not mad at you, just mad at the system. Its all good, the sun is shining and its a new day right? We have a reason to live everyday and that is what is the most important. Take care all of you!

I'm really really sorry that you're still waiting :( It amazes me how any Government agency can screw something up so bad. AND - baffles me why they make it so difficult just to be with the ones you love =( I'm sending some good vibes your way... Hopefully you'll hear something sooner - rather than later.

No1 - NOBODY here (july/aug/) is looking for your sympathy and sure enough nobody needs your accidity either! We are only saying that it's NOT normal for them to have aproved petitions that were filed WAY after hours!!Why's that so freaking hard for you to understand?!?

I know that's easy from where you're standing to say "oh!! Such a mean thing so say to others that got lucky with 3 or less... to actually have a +5 months process..."sorry" for you though, it sucks... I feel for you!!

No2.- I just said that I HOPE that JUSTICE /Karma/ whatever you call it will be fair to us too!!

I wonder how you'd feel to be stuck for +7 months away from your loved one!? I wonder how you would feel to be more than 7 months away from the spouse and your sick child (not me but a july filler) that's in the hospital, breathing through tubes, being under medication, I wonder how you would feel as a parent, helpless to do ANYTHING to bring the child to the us for treatment and for family reunion, even 7 months later while some get lucky!

All we are saying is that we HOPE that they will rectify this mess!!

That being said it's either you get it.... or just shut up!

No 1: You have a lot of audacity to speak on behalf of several people you don't know. I offer my sympathy regardless - it's ones prerogative if they choose to accept it. You're right, it IS easy for me to be empathetic and I don't apologize for that. It's the kind of person that I am. It would be as equally easy for me to be condescending, rude and trashy as some but I choose the high road =)

No 2: I imagine I would feel the same as you. I DO feel that way and I've been apart from him for awhile and my journey is God knows how much longer. That doesn't mean I am going to be a crass, uncaring and flat out disrespectful to other people in a better or worse position.

You hope they rectify it, so do I. I'm not sure why you feel I, and others, aren't allowed to express our sympathy for you or other July filers just because we haven't waited as long as you (yet). I'm not sure why you feel you have the right to piss on someone's cheerios because you've gotten short handed by the US Government. I'm not sure why, because you're having a rough go, you feel its your right to tramp and stomp on other people's hopes and dreams.

These people, myself included, had absolutely nothing to do with the fact that your case is taking longer than it should. These people should not be on the receiving end of your nastiness.

Life is a series of choices - of cause and effect. It's what you make it.

Don't presume I don't know what it's like to get dealt a bad hand in life. Don't sit there on your pedestal and throw stones at people who have no motive other than to encourage and be there for other people who are sharing the same fears, feelings and hopes. And don't you dare sit behind that computer screen and play keyboard warrior telling me to shut my mouth. If you're going to give it, you best learn how to take it.

Out of respect for this forum and the other people and their journey I will refrain from any further comment to you. If your character has proven itself at all, I'm sure you'll respond with yet another condescending and unnecessary note but rest be assured - you can have the last the word.

a tip for my fellow Oct-Nov filers

i called IRS for my tax transcripts since i've read on here that NVC prefers those.

anyway if you call them during working hours, you'll actually get transferred to a live person. if you're confused regarding which transcript blah blah blah... (like i was) i just told them for immigration purposes and they knew exactly what i needed. takes 5-7 days. if you have a fax machine, then you can get it in minutes.

just in case i wasn't the only one that didn't know about that

one of the things to get together to be ready for the next step. instead of

Yeah, I called, and they were very helpful. However, they won't send them to an e-fax. And be warned if you are planning on trying to trick them and tell them that your e-fax is a normal fax...they send them, and then ask you to confirm the cover page! The whole process took like 35 minutes (for me to call and give them the info and then receive the giant fax), but it was worth it!

are you going to make copies of your whole NVC package and send them to your wife for the interview?

i was wondering about that? i've read stories where stuff got lost from NVC to the consulate and the whole good thing we brought copies thing came up...

I had the same issue. I usually self prepare my tax returns but this was my first time filing as "married" so I went to a tax preparer to make sure it would be done correctly. The guy insisted it would not be done and offered to call the IRS to confirm this. I also decided to call and was given two options, file as married filing jointly and send a W-7 or file as married filing separately. The tax preparer gave me a call the next day and told me he was right, that I could not file as married nor could my husband apply for an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (W-7)! It took all of my stregnth not to laugh at him.

I'm going to end up preparing my taxes on my own once again...The IRS customer service rep was very helpful, however, I was put on hold for an hour and our conversation only lasted about 10 mins or less. I hope I won't have to call them again anytime soon!
