October/November 2010 Immigrant Visa filers (CR-1/IR-1)

Every time I check my timeline it says:

There are not enough recent approvals in the timeline system to accurately approximate when your I-130 will be approved. Please see the Timeline Stats page to see recent approvals.

It's said that since November I think. It used to say it could be approved between Jan 14 - Feb 24, or some other date which I have completely forgotten. There aren't that many IR-1/CR-1 filers (whose case were sent to VSC) registered on this website which makes it hard for them to collect any data that is even remotely close to being accurate, so I'm just waiting blindly for any news.

I literally jump at my phone whenever I get a text message, wishing it was from USCIS informing me that my case has been approved.

Thanks aquraishi for your valuable suggestion.

Surely sending email to NVC by the beneficiary is the first option. I will definitely try that. But if in case the email option not accepted then mailing the DS-3032 will the only option be left. However I have not yet got my NOA2, but just preparing ourselves before I get my NOA2.

Again back to my question. I think as per the guidelines of filling out the forms, you can write 'Not applicable' as N/A if the question is not applicable to be answered. Otherwise we can write 'None'. NA does not mean anything in my opinion rather you are at a risk. In my case as my hubby does not have a middle name, the best answer should be 'None', Trust me that worked when I filled out my I-130 and I got my NOA1. Difficulty here in DS-3032 is that the field does not allow to enter 4 characters. I think I will finally end up with putting N/A for that field.

Good luck to all the VJers  I pray to GOD that things gets faster for everyone.

why don't you send that in email, which is much faster

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

If you still want to fill that form then type "NA" instead of N/A

goodluck

I don't have a middle name so I just left that blank on my I-130. I didn't write "none", or n/a. I figured that if it's left blank they'll just know that it's because I don't have one. In the case that they would even think that I left it blank because I forgot to fill it in, they could just look through my proof of US citizenship (I sent a copy of my passport) which further shows that I only have a first and last name. The only way I see leaving it blank as being a problem is if my name were common, therefore finding out if I have a middle name would be useful to them so that they could distinguish me from others. But like I said, they could look through my other documents to figure this out, without the need of sending out an RFE. Obviously this is all just my opinion, and at the end of the day it wouldn't have hurt for me to write "none", but I honestly didn't even think it could be a problem.

I definitely understand your need to fill this out as correctly as possible so as to avoid any issues. I think that if you put N/A it should be fine. It may be more grammatically correct to write "none" as opposed to "not applicable" but I think they should get the point. ;)

Although the proceeding of the cases could be random but we still look forward to look at the case situation for people who have submitted before us because somewhere in our heart we want USCIS to approve everybody's case as soon as possible, since we all are connected through this VisaJourney and we all should be marching like
