October/November 2010 Immigrant Visa filers (CR-1/IR-1)

They dont check or touch unless they transfer you

or until the 4 month mark.

They also dont have to approve at the 5 month

mark also. If they are back logged they can take up to

5 to 8 month to approve a CR-1.

It depends on how many have filed and how back logged

they are at CSC or any of the centers.

By law they are suppose to approve at 180 days after NOA-1

they can do what they want.

As of now CSC & TSC are backed logged as there has been

only about 25 approvals of Visa jounrey members total.

If you check out Igor list since November 2nd 2010.

8 to 10 people have only been approved since than.

so as of now. Everybody back logged who filed after August 31

2010. So Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan Filers are behind us who still

havent been approved, SO IT MEANS YOU WILL BE BEHIND ALSO

when they get to your case.

sent and yes let them make the decision who was

incorrect dude. I'm sure this guy ISNT A CHRISTIAN

decide who the right guy here. No problem.

You were toched because they sent your NOA-1 is why,

you wont be touched again until March if your lucky

even. Look at your NOA-1 it just been less than 70

days since you filed.

Read some more here to learn how long it takes to

get processed. Not 90 days more like 5 to 8 months.

And for anybody reading this.

If I'm a August 4 NOA-1 and im still not apporoved

yet more than 5 months. Where does he get the idea

if USCIS is back logged he will get approved

sooner than me?? Little funny actually.

When im already 5 months and they are back logged.

Please ""SIR""" get with the program and your a long

ways off from being approved yet, at least April or

May or longer if they are backed logged every place.

And considering the fact that there are still June

filers still waiting since than and they are 7 month

since NOA-1. It's likely your back logged until than

anyway May or longer...

They dont have to approve actually by law until 180

days after NOA-1. Let me know where your getting your

information.

Check out the USCIS LAW REGARDING PROCESSING TIME BY LAW.

THEY TRY FOR 5 MONTHS, BUT THEY DONT HAVE TO MAKE IT IN WRITTING.

Good Luck either way there is a waiting peroid for everybody 5 to 8

months and times change from USCIS on if they are back logged or not.

Lastly, any and every person here who offers there opinion

Hi! I filed in October and have a priority date of OCT 21st. Waiting for NOA2.

I'm a U.S. citizen that married an Indonesian. We both are living in Indonesia during the CR-1 process however I filed the petition with USCIS because I basically didn't know what I was doing. Just tried to get things moving without using an attorney. So I may have messed up and caused us to wait longer but I hope it will happen before summer.

Oh yeah I DID talk to an attorney AFTER I sent the petition on the phone for a free consultation. He asked me if my wife had her biometrics done and if I filed the I-485 at the same time as the I-130. After a few weeks of scrambling to get that done I found this forum and found out that this attorney was giving me wrong information. I would like to cancel my filing in the U.S. and file direct with this embassy but I don't know how to do it or how long it will take to cancel so I'm letting it ride.

Good luck to all you filers! We are headed to Florida when our day comes. We'd love to meet all you people someday!

We for sure want that we get approval as soon as possible so there is nothing wrong in hoping and YES i like to stay delusional because sometimes it makes me happy but inside we all know its a long wait and we are ready to face it. so miracles do happen . so please do not spread negativity among us. i couldn't have said it better. i hope people don't get the wrong idea with us recent filers who are at best being wishful thinkers regarding the estimates on our timelines. it is what it is. we all are looking for that chance to get through a little faster but on the same token are very much realistic in knowing that it CAN take the whole 5 months plus change.

Kind of hoping today would be the day.........1/11/11. Keeping my fingers crossed for sure and sneaking in a prayer or two also. Still, guardedly optimistic though as things always take longer than you expect ( or would hope they would take!!!)
