I am looking for notary services in Mexico City. My fiancee is preparing to enter the U.S. on a K1 Visa with her minor child. She needs to have a document signed and notarized by her minor child’s estranged father stating that she is permanently relocating the child to the U.S.; Do you know what this type of document is called? Does anyone have experience with this, specifically in Mexico, even better in Mexico City?

My fiancee has called many notary services in Mexico and they are giving her the run-around, some are even saying this will cost upwards of $500!

Please Help!!!

We are working on the same thing. Notary services should not be $500 maybe 500 pesos ($50 USD) Are you sure about the cost they are quoting to you?

We are at the beginning of this same process & hope to be crossing into El Paso TX from Cd. Juarez in late March 2011.

If you find out more about what exact paper is needed please let me know. We are assuming that we can have the biological father sign some paper & just get it notarized. Basically giving up parental rights to mom.

I have asked this same question all over VJ including the regional forums, with no real answer...I do not think anyone here know what paper is needed from biological fathers. I am hoping some requirement will be listed in the NOA2. In the meantime we are getting passports & a notarized letter with the help of kids dad.
