Hey, I am visiting my fiance and daughter in Lima during the Thanksgiving holidays and was looking for a possible apartment to rent for the week that people may know. We're running a tight budget because of the impending move to America, so it must be pretty cheap (I only require hot water!). We typically stay in Barranco, so there would be nice, but we're also flexible.

Anyway, if someone know of something, please let me know. I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

In Barranco. Man I like that Rustica restaurant there...but only that Rustica is good, the one in Miraflores on Pizza de Callo is terrible.

You should be able to find some decent, cheap places in Barranco as rent is pretty cheap there. I'm renting a place near San Isidro in a few weeks but I'm paying about $50/day and it's pretty romantic at the beach side and luxurious. Believe me..$50/day is cheap for this kind of place...but it is a locals place, not Marriott.

It's here: http://www.amobladosmiraflores.com/precios-y-servicios/

There's a cheaper place here in San Isidro...I think about $175/week which is not bad for that area: http://www.residencialsori.com/default_ING.htm

And finally there's a hotel I've stayed in several times in Miraflores. It's a locals place, so you need to know Spanish to reserve rooms and such but the rates are dirt cheap. Like $20-35/day and the rooms are not bad at all plus includes breakfast. http://www.riverainnhotel.com.pe/main_page.html

Good Luck, I'm going during November 9-16.. :)

We know a very nice couple that rents apartments...this one is a one bedroom, hot water, small kitchen, tv with cable, secure building...it is in Lince...not sure if your familiar with that area, but I have no issues with it. This was around $150 for the week...they have a 2br apartment also. Email me if you want the contact info.
