I'm a little confused.... I'm applying for the K-3 to get my husband from Costa Rica to the US and I'm currently filling the G-325a forms to be sent in with the I-130. Who is the applicant that has to sign at the bottom? Do I sign because I am applying on his behalf? Or do we each sign our separate G-325 form?

Also... when do we send in the "proof of relationship" stuff? Does that go with the I-130 or do we wait and take it all in at the interview (or both?). How have people dealt with attaching photos in the past? Do you just put them in an envelope or attach them to the packet of papers somehow (I have a ton)? I know they are picky about how you attach the passport/ID photos so I just want to make sure I'm doing this right.

Any other general input would be great... Anything not included already in the K-3 guide on this site, which was really helpful to me. I'm doing this on my own without a lawyer so you guys are all I've got! :)

Okay... so we each sign our own form. In the box where you are supposed to type in the name of the applicant is that the same deal? We each type in our own name/alien registration #?

G-325A is not a petition, it is the biographical information of the petitioner and the foreign alien spouse, beneficiary. You sign and date your own G-325A and he signs and dates his own G-325A. Same thing applies in the box, his name should be on his G-325A and your name should be on your G-325A. You can put the passport size photos in a small zipper bag. Makse sure, you write your name and Alien Number (If you have) on the back of your passport size photo and do the similar thing on the back of his passport size photo.

Proof of relationship will be required during the visa interview at the Embassy/Consulate. Only the K-1 (Fiance Visa) petitioner needs to send the proof of relationship with the I-129F, it does not apply to I-130 and K-3 (I-129F).

I-130 Timeline with USCIS:

It took 92 days for I-130 to get approved from the filing date

NVC Process of I-130:

It took 78 days to complete the NVC process

Interview Process at The U.S. Embassy

Interview took 223 days from the I-130 filing date. Immigrant Visa was issued right after the interview
