Advice please. Our second sponsor is missing her 2008 tax transcript. We have 2009, 2007 and 2006. We believe 2008 was retained by the London Consulate and that it was the original. Would what we have be sufficient? Should we attach a note saying London Consulate retained 2008?

Better to wait for the 2008 tax transcript to be available.

Thanks - I know we can order a new transcript but we were anxious to get this in asap as status runs out tomorrow. Do you think we should send in minus 2008 or wait?

Why do you think 2008 is required? Does your cosponsor make enough on the 2009 return? If yes, then there is no need to provide further supporting information. If you sponsor fell short in 2009 and you are trying to show consistent earning power (combined with current income proofs) and that 2009 was just a fluke, then yes, wait for 2008.

If, given the above, you feel that 2008 is required, then you can have the IRS fax them, and have them in hand within about 15 minutes.

K-1:

January 28, 2009: NOA1

June 4, 2009: Interview - APPROVED!!!

October 11, 2009: Wedding

AOS:

December 23, 2009: NOA1!

January 22, 2010: Bogus RFE corrected through congressional inquiry "EAD waiting on biometrics only" Read about it here.

March 15, 2010: AOS interview - RFE for I-693 vaccination supplement - CS signed part 6!

March 27, 2010: Green Card recieved

ROC:

March 1, 2012: Mailed ROC package

March 7, 2012: Tracking says "notice left"...after a phone call to post office.

Agreed. You do not HAVE to include 2008 and 2007 returns with your I-864. You simply write the information into the appropriate fields on the I-864. If you still have that information from applying for the visa, you're golden, otherwise you WILL need to find out what it was before sending it.

Waiting 2 weeks for the transcript seems like a long time, but if you get an RFE there's the week to get the paper saying the RFE, the time to get what they asked for, and then the time it takes them to receive the RFE and continue processing, all the while other files put on top of yours because they had the required stuff already...
