Just curious about typical pay. We might help send someone from the RP and just wondering what the pay is there (average) for any given month.

Or if monthly pay is too random, what is typical hourly wage for retail clerk?

Also, do they pay in local currency or another currency?

Thank you.

The net value of the average resident of Dubai is over 1 million dollars. You do the math.

There is no room in this country for hyphenated Americanism. When I refer to hyphenated Americans, I do not refer to naturalized Americans. Some of the very best Americans I have ever known were naturalized Americans, Americans born abroad. But a hyphenated American is not an American at all . . . . The one absolutely certain way of bringing this nation to ruin, of preventing all possibility of its continuing to be a nation at all, would be to permit it to become a tangle of squabbling nationalities, an intricate knot of German-Americans, Irish-Americans, English-Americans, French-Americans, Scandinavian-Americans or Italian-Americans, each preserving its separate nationality, each at heart feeling more sympathy with Europeans of that nationality, than with the other citizens of the American Republic . . . . There is no such thing as a hyphenated American who is a good American. The only man who is a good American is the man who is an American and nothing else.

I'm not talking "resident" so this has nothing to do with my question. Please don't take this post off topic. Thank you.

Just 500 a month on average... darn. After paying for food and boarding, there isn't a lot to send home. Not a good place to go if your skill level isn't on the professional level, I see.

I am intereted in the answer also

Does anyone know what RN makes in Dubai?

It isn't the same, but I checked computer field salaries and they were low. They are tax free, but that isn't enough to get me to submit to the blazing heat there. People speak of the riches there, but I have no idea what they are doing to get rich. I'm guessing a minority of financial/banking types get rich and then somehow the story gets twisted to imply a lot more get rich. Rich is relative though so never know when to trust the word.

Also be aware that many I did talked to in Dubai, were not very happy about the fee's that were deducted by the recruiting company, that sent them there. As well some had to pay a very large upfront fee, that started them in debt before they got there.

When you have all the proper qualifications and landed in a very stable company, you could have a very good salary like AED 15K to AED 18K, tax free and free of everything. (housing, phone, car, etc.)... Food is quite cheap but the housing is kinda expensive. If you do not have enough then you have to share a room with 10 other people..
