In a private phone conversation that was secretly recorded, Mark Kirk, the Republican U.S. Senate candidate in Illinois, told state Republican leaders last week about his plan to send "voter integrity" squads to four predominately African American neighborhoods of Chicago "where the other side might be tempted to jigger the numbers somewhat."

You see, only black people try and cheat.

Repeatedly it has been demonstrated that there is no appreciable vote fraud in terms of people voting twice or for someone else so there is one purpose to such an effort–trying to suppress black voters. That he is only concentrating on areas with significant African-American voting population is pretty telling and disturbing. There's your moderate Mark Kirk playing the same old doq whistle politics.

I have never seen bus loads of voters show up to the polls in moderate districts.

Do you know of anyone who was registered and moved or won't vote? you can go vote in their place.

IN places where the polls are run by like minded monitors .... it can be even easier.

It in its self is not, and there is nothing wrong busing folks who are old or for whatever reason can't get to the polls, but there have been many reports over the years that in some cases, these busses are actually making a tour of polling stations.

One reason fraud is so hard to prove is because Voting is still locally controlled... so in districts which are heavily tilted toward one candidate.... to make a complaint is essentially asking those who benefit from the corruption to look into it.

The offense has to rise to the level of a Civil Rights violation to get attention from the Fed (if the complainant is not White of course).

Yes, so? I know for a fact that Democratic Party volunteers will pick up people without access to cars and take them to their respective polling stations and drop them off. This may involve going to more than one, which is what I assume you mean by a "tour". Once they're done voting, they wait outside and get picked up by another volunteer. There is nothing wrong with this and in fact I see it as a great way for people with cars to help the less fortunate participate in civic life.

So, It's not fraud, nothing more than the cantankerous grumblings of a paranoid partisan.

In fact it is fraud in some cases, but on a national scale it has minimal effect, look to the urban cites to see the results, for in these places many elections are won or lost over a few thousand or even hundred votes.
