How about those Rangers.

Series is 1 - 1 bud!

Not to mention the fact that the Ranger's kicked their #### two days in a row......

If Ron Washington wasn't acting like a dumb #### yesterday with his pitching movies, it'd be 2 - 0!

Oh well, on to Skankee stadium...

Wow, Rangers! What a performance by Lee. This series has been much more interesting than I would have thought! I fancy the Rangers' chances against Burnett.

Dejected Yankees fans...always a delight to see.

Sweet! The Rangers could wrap it up this afternoon! I'm thinking Sabathia will put in a solid performance, tho. In any case, I'd certainly like to see the Rangers clinch in (the replica of) precious Yankee Stadium!

The husband took an intense dislike to Teixeira starting last season and says "That smug #######" and the like when he comes up to bat. Last night, upon seeing Teixeira's awkward movements prior to his weak slide, Jon immediately yelled, "Hamstring! Hamstring! This is it! This is it for Teixeira!" Being a big soccer fan, I guess he can very quickly identify the movement associated w/ a hamstring injury, even if it's just a couple of steps.

Anyhoo, looking forward to today's game.

SO you really are as insipid about names etc in politics as in sports. You do know that you look as ** all stupid calling the yankees banal names like that? Oh well, I still have faith in the Yankees.

Could you imagine how smug Teixera would have been had he signed with the Red Sox?

My baseball team has been held hostage for well over a decade. First the bastards at FOX owned them, and now a pair of shrill Boston carpetbaggers are holding the team hostage. It's funny, the McCourt's were lauded when they first came to town. Now that they are getting divorced, and we get to see some of their business model as a part of the evidence, we are now seeing their plan. They planned to slash payroll from 125 million to 60 (currently at 62 million) and maximize profits, which they have. I love the Dodgers, but I won't root for them until the McCourt's are forced to sell the team.

I try not to pay too much attention to that kind of stuff (although I realize it's hard when it affects practical things like acquisition of decent players), otherwise I wouldn't want to follow sports at all. It's much more fun to despise a team for irrational, tribal reasons.
