I am ready to fill out the K-1 visa form. However, as of this moment, I am unemployed. I will find a job within the next few weeks. Does the support form get sent in with the original application or does it follow later?

Also, I am about to file bankruptcy. Any advice on whether I should do the application before, during, or after the bankruptcy?

Thanks,

Bao

The sponsorship papers are filled after the the petition for the K-1 visa has been approved. A letter will be sent to your fiance in which they will have to gather there medical papers and other items needed, you will then have to send the sponsorship forms. If you have no income you must still be the primary sponsor and can use any properties or other items as a means to show support. You may also want to get a co-sponsor to assist you if you do not have the means yet. The co-sponsor will need to have proof of employment, pay stubs and taxes for at least the past 3 years. I do not know when would be best to begin the filing of the K-1 visa, it depends. I hope this helps.
