I-485: is the intending immigrant's spouse also restricted from receiving means-tested public benefits?

Simple question for which I've read conflicting info:

I am the intending immigrant. My wife didn't have enough income so we used her father as the co-sponsor on the I-485.

It's clear that I, the intending immigrant, cannot receive means-tested public benefits (without having to repay them). But can my wife? She has two children. As a single mom, she was receiving "food stamps". Can she still receive these? I recognize that now that she's married to someone with an income, that alone may disqualify her. But ignoring that part, my question to this forum is, as my wife who was my primary sponsor on the I-485 (with her father the co-sponsor that actually met the requirements), is she disqualified from receiving the benefits due to that fact alone?

As stated it does not apply to US citizens but from what I've read in other posts on VJ about this same qn she cannot include you in her household size when claiming them.
