Good morning, everyone...I was wondering if anyone could help my fiance and me understand the process after receiving our NOA2. We are in the boat with the rest of the June CSC filers so I don't know when thigns will be moving.

I've been reading everyone talk about an interview post NOA2. Is it correct then that SOME applicants have to interview to even receive their NOA2, but everyone has to interview after receiving it? What exactly is the purpose of the interview after being accepted? Is it just my foreign fiance who interviews or will I interview at a local office as well? Just trying to get a better grasp on what will happen after CSC starts WORKING--what a concept!

I appreciate any and all feedback!

THANK YOU!

Read through the Guids again. The NOA2 means that your petition has been approved by the USCIS. No interviews. Then your petition goes to the NVC for more processing and background checks. Usually this stage takes about a month. Then when they approve it, they will send (usually) a letter saying so and they the forward it to your fiance(e)'s Embassy. There the Embassy does their own background checks and then schedules an interview for your fiance(e) and sends them documents to complete and either mail back or bring with. Some Embassies will allow you the petitioner to accompany the beneficiary. You will not have an interview. Now you should be looking at those documents that they will be sent and those that you need to complete and send to them, for their interview. Read the Guides.
