I am wondering if anyone has filed a Waiver for a Lost Green Card.

My son's GC has been lost in the mail for over a year now and he does not have the funds to pay for another card. Has anyone ever filed the Waiver and if so do you have an example letter?

We have contacted our Congress and USCIS will not take responibilty for sending his card to the wrong address. They are suggesting he send in the paperwork for the Waiver. (Oh how I am so sick of this #######). He cant not work with no GC, can not renew his Driver's License and it's really becoming a problem. I dont have the money or I would get it for him. I already paid for both when we Adjusted our Status. My card was lost for 8 months but I was lucky to find it at my old address. The people living there had opened it and I am sure they have my son's as well but say they dont.

Anyways, if anyone has any information they could share with me I would really appreciate it.

Thanks

Same here, I keep checking my mail with no success, and I swear to God if they mail to our old address its gonna be on them, because I filed AR-11 both online and via snail mail so they would come with the excuse of not having the correct address on file plus ROC NOA1, BIO and Approval letter came to our current address. What a headache.

Yes, I called again today the Customer Rep. transferred me to a higher level, the lady told me they mailed my GC on May 10th but no tracking number available for me for some reason, they suggest me to call my local USPS. Can you believe this, how can I call USPS without a tracking number, and desperately I did, and the lady who answered talked to me like if I was a meat head and tells me without tracking number or delivery confirmation number there's absolutely nothing they can do. There's no way in hell I will pay for a replacement if they lose that card.

What?

Call your congressman. They can get through to them quick. Mine had Pittsburgh on the phone within minutes. Their own page says they get sent out with Delivery Confirmation!

Or call back again and get to Level 2 again and ask why it was not sent with a DC number when it clearly says mail is to be sent now with tracking! I'm outraged at this.
