This email is very common from the Cairo embassy. Don't worry, nothing is wrong, this is the proceedures in Cairo. I received the very exact email for 6 months and I'm sure some other gals here can back me up on that. ;) As for the AP, nobody knows since all cases are different. Some have received their visa in as little as 4 weeks and other 6 or months. Hang in there....I know for a fact how stressful this can be. (F)

Didn't we all tell you before that you would be going through administrative and security checks? You're going through this, just as we all said. It can take a few weeks or a few months to complete. Mine was 7 weeks, some are several months long.

if there is nothing that you should to worry about then just relax and pray that it will go fast...as all previous responders said...this is normal...just security checks that are standard...it can take few weeks or few months...every case is different...wishing you well
