It says they received documents in response to a Request for Evidence letter that they sent to you previously, and now will resume reviewing your application. If you change your address, they are asking you to inform them by submitting an AR-11 change of address form (which you can download from the USCIS website, as needed), within 10 days of changing your address.

If they need anything else from you, they will contact you or if they are ready with a decision, they will notify you within 60 days upon receiving the additional information you already submitted; unless you have a pending biometrics appointment or an interview that must be completed before they can make a decision on your application.

Same thing happened to us with the 60 days. When we called after the 60 days was up they took all our information and said another 45 days period. When that was done called the service center directly and they finally acted on it. The documents they requested from me was a total of 6 pages. Took them over 100 days to read the things.

HI meb ..............dude wht happened after that.......... is it approved hun..... what is your priority date and at this time where r u on your visa journey

Hello Anjum at this time we are waiting on the packet from NVC to reach our attorney (which I could have done without as it seems now by the way) as she has all our documents already except for the police certificate from Hong Kong which requires a letter from the NVC stating they are required. Then after my wife gets the documents sent to HK it takes them a month to get the certificate to the embassy. So we have a while yet.

Shame that a person from the Philippines are forced to work abroad (OFW) to survive and send money back home to others then have to suffer and go thru this poice certificate scenario just to come to the USA to be happy with someone they love and contribute to this country. Almost like a punishment if you ask me. Oh well my wife and I wish others well in their journey for happiness. And we appreciatte the info we acquired here.

You are not "stuck" at USCIS. They had a problem processing your application because some documents they needed were missing or not submitted. you sent them in and they told you they are now working on your case and further that you should expect to see an answer from them regarding your petition somewhere within the next 60 days.

Your priority date at this point has nothing to do with this process, it just makes you eligible to file. Once the ball starts rolling the time it takes to complete the process is a function of how complete and accurate the application is, how long it takes you to respond to documents you did not send in with original application, and the administrative workload for ALL applications at the Service Center.

Good luck and I hope the rest of this process goes smoothly for you.

NVC receives I-130 approval from the USCIS. Do not wait for I-130 approval notice from the USCIS. Dial (603) 334-0700 to check NVC’s Automated Voice Response system ( NVC's AVR). You need your I-130 Receipt Number to check the status.

NVC receives I-130 approval from the USCIS. Do not wait for I-130 approval notice from the USCIS. Dial (603) 334-0700 to check NVC's Automated Voice Response system ( NVC's AVR). You need your I-130 Receipt Number to check the status.

Congratulation on your approval
