Greencard middle name

do you think it will be an issue when I travel in the future for different middle name in my passport and my green card? In the Philippines we usually used our maiden name as middle name you get married. So when i renewed my passport I used my Maiden name as my middle name but when USCIS issued me a green card they used my middle name when i was still single as my middle name. Do you think I will be in trouble?

You may want to straighten out your green card to reflect the same name as your passport...problem is, that requires filing an I-90, and if it was your mistake, you have to pay the fee, which is $370.

So...if you review your papers, what name did you put on your documentation when you adjusted status? (First Name, Middle Name, Last Name) If you were the one who wrote the middle name (corresponding to your mother's maiden name), then it would be your error, not USCIS's error...and you will have to pay the fee. Otherwise, USCIS should correct it for free. (You'd have to show them proof that it was their error.)

Thanks for the reply. I wrote my maiden name as my middle name but they change it, their reason is I need to use my single middle name because my father surname would be my maiden name. So maybe as my own security i will just bring documents ( birth certificate and marriage certificate whenever I go travel. whoooaaa goverment.
