Hi peeps.

My daughter and I immigrated to the US last year on K3 and K4 visas, respectively. During the application process, I only received one letter from NVC with my case number on it, and no separate letter for my daughter. So I used my case number on all our documentation up to the time we received our visas.

After we received our visas, we received automated letters usually given to spouses and dependents of US Citizens that usually starts the CR1/CR2 visas (but mind you, we ALREADY had our K3 and K4 visas issued). So I figured we would just have to ignore the letters, and go on our merry way.

Fast forward to this year; we already submitted our AOS+EAD applications (have the NOA1s and the appointment letters for biometrics, our appointment is on Thursday, October 14 at 8:00 a.m.)

Last Saturday, we received the following letter from NVC (attached, with personal details erased) and only now I see my daughter and I actually had different case numbers (staring with MNL).

I am guessing I didn't receive a similar letter because they already know I have a K3 visa...but they sent this letter because my daughter has a separate case number, which I didn't know about until AFTER we received our visas and had already indicated my case number on all her documentation.

I was thinking of calling the NVC and informing them that we have already landed in the U.S. on K3 and K4 visas...and we are of course willing to show them proof of that as well as proof that we are currently adjusting status...

My question is, will this affect our pending AOS+EAD or am I right in not worrying because we already have visas...it's just that we pursued K3 and K4 instead of CR1 and CR2?
