I am desperate and I appreciate any suggestions for my situation..

Here is my story:

My husband and I met online in June 2007 and we dated for half a year in real life then we got married at the end of December 2007. My husband is US citizen, and I came to United states in Oct 2008 and we have lived together most of time since we were dating.

we have been married for almost 3 years now and I am considering divorcing him. He literally has never worked during this whole relationship except for about TWO months back in 2008. All he does everyday is sitting at home and playing video games -- yes from the moment he wakes up til nighttime when he goes to sleep. I have tried all options to try to get him to go to school and get a job to support our family, but he has had all kinds of excuses you can think of to not to do so. I literally had to beg him to go to school everyday and to do his homework and go to exams on time. When I moved to US in Oct 2008 I could not get a job since I did not have my CPR at that time. So I had to borrow money from my parents( they are not here in US) to support all our living expenses ( even b4 we met my parents were the one paying for our living expense). And a while ago I found out that he did not even go to school from Sept 2009 - June 2010, AND he has lied to me the whole time. I even drove him to school and picked him up after he finish his "classes" for the sept 2009 sememster every single day! He told me that he got very good grades back then and I believed him.

I was not in US from Jan - June this year since I went back home to visit my parents. And every time we talked on the phone he told me how well he is doing in school and how he got a part time job and he was doing really well. Of course which turns out to be a big fat lie he made up again.

At the end of July, we got into a fight -- (we have argued/fought a lot before coz i have been very upset with him). I was very angry and during the fight while i was trying to grab my cellphone which he took from me and refused to give it back to me, I left 2 scratches on his arm( his skin wasnt even broken). He did elbowed me in my jaw and snapped a shirt in my left eye. I was banging on the door and ask him to give the phone back to me so I can leave to stay in a hotel as he went into the bedroom and locked the door. He called the police on me while I was banging on the door, and I got a Domestic Violence ( Misdemeanor) charge right now which is pending and the hearing is in Mid Nov.

I have moved up to Washington in early August. I work right now but my salary barely covers my rent/bills/living expense etc. Recently my roommate told me that she is moving back to California and now I am looking at myself cannot even afford my own rent with the money I make right now. I talked to him a few days ago and he told me, "I am not entirely motivated to get a job right now coz your not here".

I just cannot take this any more... I had to beg my parents to support us for over 3 years and they just cannot do it any more. I have tried to talk some common sense into my husband but he always said that "I will do it tomorrow. I will get a job tomorrow". I had to do all his laundry and all house chores coz he was too busy with his video games. If he send out 1 copy of resume one day he would turn around and brags about how awesome he is and how different he is etc etc and tells me that I should not get upset at him -- yea and he would wait SEVERAL MONTH b4 he send out another resume.

What is on top of all those? If I refused to play video games with him he would get upset at me and bugged me til I started play with him!

I have tried to call those hotlines and all those ppl told me was that "Why wasn't u working ?" And when I told them about my situation then they would say things like "so u married him for green card then?"

I am desperate. I have put my parents in huge financial burden and -- my parents and myself have suffered so much emotionally and psychologically ... right now I am looking at myself having this criminal charge pending and I have no idea how it is gonna affect my permanent residency. I do not know if he would be willing to sponsor me with my 10 yr green card, since things have been going downhill between us coz I am not paying for anything any more and with the money I make right now I might end up on street in December. I loved him and I just cannot believe that my love for a man has put me into a situation like this. Maybe people would say that I need to become the breadwinner of the house ( i have heard it from ppl b4) but I cannot imagine myself bearing his kids and go to work -- come home to a crying baby / messy house while he might just sit there and playing video games.

I read the forum and I decided to post here to see if any1 can give me any suggestions.
