So yeah there are events that happen then you see these things on the news some of them are amazing, bizarre, profound, or at times seemingly innocuous, but ah ha infamous etc. these events will eventually change your life or laws that affect you.

For example obviously 911 changed a lot of things in the USA. We now have lost many civil rights for the sake of security. And with each subsequent plot we are further losing our ability to live and work and assimilate freely in a supposedly free society. Shoe bomber made us have to disrobe at check points. Backpacks are now suspect on public transportation because of the London and Madrid attacks, and here we have an all out ban on Liquids because of the so-called Trans-Atlantic Liquid bomb plotters. With each plot or act of crime the criminals win--though they may die or be sent to prison--they have achieved and continue to achieve their goals--Americans will die with them--and the rest of us the living end up living in a Prison state under the auspices the Bush Doctrine and for the Sake of Homeland Security.

Now comes the Bonet-Ramsey murder confession and the biographical check of this guy Karr reveals that he had worked as a Substitute teacher in Alabama and in California. He was let go for odd behavior especially in regard to affection and child porno references and possession. So here comes the reaction to this revelation. Now keep in mind that the current system worked--when the school systems discovered this guy was into porno or otherwise acting like a pedophile he was dismissed. But politicians and school systems are debating should they require that all Substitute teachers be certified teachers. Okay from the outset this sounds like a good idea--but when you consider that most school systems pay substitutes about 15,000 per year (assuming a Substitute teacher worked all 180 days of the school year) without benefits, who would want to work as a substitute while a fully accredited teacher--nobody would. Furthermore there is not any evidence that a certified teacher is less likely to be a pedophile than a non-certified teacher. Also all states require background checks on all faculty including substitute teachers.
