:help: REC REF . "Please submit documentary evidence of legal name change issued by the authorized government agency" My previous married name to another name 20 years ago. I have used this name consistently, Tax records, Passport, DL, SS Card, Credit, contracts etc. In CA 20 years ago you could use the "usage method" to change your name. I would prefer not to use the court system now. It would add an additional 4 weeks or more to this process. :angry:

2/22/07 Canceled and Requested new Interview date(which will most likely be in 6 months)

so get some sort of documentary evidence from when you changed your name. If there was a state law 20 years ago that said you could just assume a new name, get a print out of the law.

divorced - April 2010 moved back to Ontario May 2010 and surrendered green card
