Bullsh!t. We have the technology and the know how to significantly reduce carbon emissions. The carbon cycle can be put back into balance and it is even theoretically possible to reverse the current warming trend. The only standing in the way are denialists such as yourself. Most of the world is on board with combating Global Warming. Technology is ready to be implemented. Energy independence is real possibility. We only need to push aside the obstructionists and denialists such as yourself and continue towards progress, for a better tomorrow for our children and our children's children.

On November 2nd the money tap gets turned off. The obstructionists and deniers will hold the purse strings and they will not be confiscating my earnings to pay for this nonsense. Find another way to make a better tomorrow for your children.

You can't get past this Libertarian, pie-in-the-sky notion that if government just stayed out of it, private enterprise would lead us to Utopia. The FDA, EPA, Clean Air Act, regulations on CFC's and Acid Rain, all came about because our representatives in government (the people we vote for), had the courage to do the right thing. Government has and will continue to play a significant role in shaping our economy through policy, and such policies don't have to be at complete odds with private enterprise. While the fossil fuel industry might stomp up and down like a spoiled child over tighter emission regulations, other energy companies will move in on their turf, and our economy, as well as our environment will be better off for it.

Like I said, it will never happen. Not in this decade anyway. In this case the government won't do it because they know that it will tank the economy. Political self preservation will kick in and stop this nonsense.

When was the last time the earth and humans had such an increase in weather again?

Actually your logic is flawed. It's like saying you're going to die one day, so keep on smoking. Only idiots think like that.

Doesn't matter. Dems will lose. No Dems, no global warming taxation and legislation. No taxation and legislation will result in the complete exposure of the whole thing as a hoax. I'm glad, aren't you? I mean you will soon find out you worried for nothing and there is NO global warming. Good news. Right?

Not to pick a fight but I will remind you that all of the following were also High School Drop-outs:

George Eastman... Founder of the Kodak company.

Albert Einstein... Mathematician.

Thomas Edison... Inventor of the Light Bulb (among may other things).

George Gershwin... Composer

Wright brothers... Inventors of the airplane.

Thomas Sowell... Economist, author and political commentator.

Dave Thomas... Founder of Wendy's restaurant chain.

Ansel Adams... Photographer, author.

Andrew Jackson... 7th U.S. President, face is pictured on the U.S. twenty dollar bill

Are you implying Rush Limbaugh, a radio talk show host, is in the league of some of those?

Some of the brainiacs on the list were from a totally different era. Certainly not some 2010 middle-American, truck driving, gun clinging, blue-collar republican equivalent.

I've always wondered what you are actually qualified in, as in what field are you educated in.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Cap and Trade was only one option and it was never the ultimate or perfect solution. The EPA already has within its power, the authority to regulate CO2 emissions via the Supreme Court and is already working on tightening industry standards. The industry is crying foul - that this will cost American jobs, while the alternative energy industry is seeing their opportunity open. I am confident that we will continue to progress towards lowering CO2 emissions, regardless of the denialists such as yourself who have such a cynical approach to the future. Countries such as Denmark, are on pace to become energy independent and zero emissions by 2050. While people like you scoff at such lofty ideals, there are people helping to make a better tomorrow.

The good news is if the EPA tries to do an end run, the Repb congress will turn off THEIR funds. The House of Representatives controls all the funding and all the legislation for funding begins in the House of Representatives. Republicans will control it after January 1, 2011. They will also either control by sheer number, or by a filibuster minoroty, the Senate. The EPA will not be forcing anything down our throats and I think you know that Steven.

Enough Americans will eventually realize that liberteapartians are batshit crazy. After all, the God of libertarians Ayn Rand had a lot to do with the current crisis, considering her biggest fan was in control of the fed for years.

Lies, lies and more lies. Hey, whatever makes you sleep better at night. It'll be interesting to hear your take of things a decade from now as progress moves forward and leaves you in the dust.

Lies? Really? Prove it. Tell me how taxing every single aspect of our economy with a carbon tax won't tank the economy. Your deluding yourself.

Yes, who would want tougher population standards for the cities they live in. Though, you are a hypocrite and live in a liberal city. Why not make your way down to one of these low taxing red states?

Tell me where yo live, I am happy to put lead or uranium into your water.

I am implying it does not matter what Rush's credentials are, or anyone else's. Without funding, Global Warming ceases to exist, except as a topic for conversation in the hot stove league. Get someone else to pay for it.

I never wonder what you are qualifed for. Ever. I also never even think that you may be educated. Strange.

Economies overseas with significantly higher taxes are not tanked.

Generally in the US and in most developed cultures, if you cause someone harm, you are civilly if not criminally liable for your actions. Now, climate change will cause significant problems in certain places of the world, especially those located close to sea level. The denial argument basically boils down to this: How can we create enough doubt in the science to avoid liability for human contributions to climate change? Of course science is validated by experimentation and observation. Politics however can be influenced by other factors, such as money and power.

Hate to be the bearer of bad news but the US GDP has steadily dropped over the decade down to 19% of the world. In other words, there are plenty of countries to fund these measures.

It's why no one listen to folks like yourself anymore. We also insist you stay here.

In other words you have no formal education and basically talk out of your azz. You're originally Texan, so enough said really.
