NVC to Consulate time frame

Hope someone can assist me on this here

My IV instruction packet arrived at the NVC in North Hampshire on the 4th of this month, when and how do I expect to receive some notification from the NVC about my interview? Looking around it seems to average 4 months yet they gave my wife and I a time frame of 2 to 4 weeks for the process.

We are married, petitioned with the I-130 & I-129 (IR-1/CR-1), we have no idea how we will be contacted about the interview and I'm damned if I can work out how long it may be before getting any news from them.

Please... any help would loved!

Can you post a timeline? When did you first file? When did NVC receive the 129F? 130? All of these are pertinent, because if you file both 129F, and 130, they both have to be processed. So it's kind of hard to tell without knowing all of the details.

They, the NVC, cancelled out the I-129F since the I-130 was approved. It was converted to the CR-1 visa. Does that help?

Yup. Makes total sense now thanks. It's hard to trust a form letter from the NVC. I would go with the similar timelines from folks on here. 8-12 weeks at NVC sounds about right. Once approved, they will schedule your interview. I know I could be completely off base, because I am in the same boat as you. Our paperwork is also at the NVC. Good luck, and I hope it goes quickly for you!
