I guess it is. Just seems obvious to me. If I had serious issues with the taxes and laws in Indiana, I would move to Wyoming, Montana, New Hampshire, or such. If I thought that the people in Pakistan were all "choirboys" and could do no wrong, I'd move there. If I weren't willing to do that, I'd keep my @#$%$# mouth shut.

My hatred of all GM products for example. I've slammed GM pretty strongly over the past 10 years or so. I detest them. I disagree with their existence. Wouldn't it then be pretty silly of me to go buy a new Corvette?

I think it's less to do with voicing opinions, and more to do with a general philosophy of life. The assumption is that most people ultimately strive to be happy.

So if one is unhappy with a situation, one can sit around and complain, or advocate for change or take action (in this scenario, move), to make their situation a happier one.

It's for this main reason I will never live in an area with significant snowfall.

Unfortunately however, most of us don't have the luxury of choosing where we live. I'm indifferent towards the US, as I am towards Britain - I broadly respect its history and traditions, but that doesn't mean that I should keep my mouth shut when there I things going on I don't agree with.

I was an auto mechanic for 11 years. That's why I hate GM products. lol

Worst-built vehicles, in my opinion. They even captured that title officially this year... the 4 identical vans they produce (Buick, Chevy, Saturn, and....? GMC) were rated the worst on the planet for reliability.

They were impossible to work on. "Remove Engine to replace Crank Sensor" ... that sort of thing.
