Danno, what is the exact degree of relevance of personal experience when discussing cultural norms?

ahhh in other words you were parroting with you heard about American culture.. with no actual experience.

Lets touch on something you might know of, did the English have a predominant culture in the 50s-60s?

No Danno, that is not a safe conclusion to draw from my question. Try again, what degree of relevance does personal experience have when discussing cultural norms?

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I'll give you a little hint, personal experience is inherently biased. It has a value, but only in so far as it can be contextualized. In that sense, a person who has no first hand experience can have a much more valid overview if they have the relevant knowledge.

The United States hasn't done jack to keep its own culture. Instead we've let whoever wants to come in here and put theirs in effect to do so.

You assume Paul, that this country actually had/has a culture to keep--a point on which this doubly-naturalised1,2desi strongly disagrees (of course, I know it ticks both of you off, but....).
