Hey everyone!

Here's the immunisation sheet: http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/PDF/wk/mm5901-Immunization.pdf to table on page 2 is what you need but HPV is now no longer required. Follow the YELLOW boxes on the table. The purple are only if you have something (mentioned in table 2) that makes it a requirement for you.

Basically you will need MMR up to date, Tdap, and if you've got history of varicella (chicken pox) make sure you know that. Should be in your baby book.

Depending on your state you can see your doctor NOW before your NOA2 (medical is valid for 12 months though, so keep that in mind otherwise you'll need a new medical when you're in the US to AOS). Come over and say hi in the Aussie chat thread (link in my signature) and we can help you out there. There is also a P3 to interview date thread in my signature that will guide you through what to expect when NOA2 is approved. You can apply for your Federal Police check (with fingerprints) now too (you should be getting your NOA2 any day now). Will shave a lot of time off your waiting (also state dependent). I'm from Victoria so my experience is there, but there are others in the Aussie thread from other states of course :D Long story short, come say Hi in the Aussie threads and we can guide you with what's to come :D

hey!

thanks for being super helpful and friendly. This is such a difficult process, one minute I think I'm on top of it all and the next thing I have no idea and get so scared about it taking ages longer.

anyways since you've been through the whole process what advice could you give me to do now, to speed things up once we get the NOA2?

ive got my birth certificate, ive got all the neccessary forms and documents for the police check, but can i do that already? and do i need to get finger print tested too? is it too early to do the medical? I'd just like to have all my ducks in a row so come the time when the NOA2 is in our hands I can basically send all the documents/forms back instantly.

any guidance you could give like a quick check list would be amazing! i feel so lost in all of this.

moving thread to:

US Embassy and Consulate Discussion

This is the place to post your experiences or questions related to this last step before moving to the US. Topics relating to I-134's, packets sent from consulate and medical & police certificates should be posted here.

YMMV
