Hi Everyone! Just been looking around for some good places to live. I love it here, but I'm trying to find a good place to find a better job with my business degree. I've been searching for jobs and using monster as well to do that. I wish I could help Daniel find a job but it's far too in the future, at least I think to do that. He's really good with computers though, and he says he's up for living anywhere :) I was just trying to find ideas to show him though ! Thanks for your input

I don't recommend East Texas. But no one would want to move there anyway. Austin is nice.

:bonk: east texas is heaven! around greenville and north of that towards paris!

I guess if pine trees, dry dirt, HOT!!! humid weather, rednecks, rampant ignorance, Evangelicals, and a general disdain for anyone who "ain't from around here" is your idea of heaven, then East Texas is surely a utopia.

First, and foremost, and don't even LOOK at a map of the US before you have that crossed off your list, make sure your degree is valid and usable in the US. And stay out of east Texas. Think 1950s East Germany, but really damn hot.

Well, I'll be finishing my Bachelors degree soon, and hopefully he will be here by next year. I'm at my parents for now, and I've been applying for jobs and putting myself out there on websites but not having my Bachelors degree kind of doesn't help with that. Anyways, he's really good with computers though, and he's a bartender right now (only job he could get back home at the time) and now he's starting another job as well doing administrative work, in which I believe they have an American counterpart, so I'm curious if he can try to get a start within that company here somewhere. Wonder if many UK citizens have any luck with that here?

What do/don't you like about where you're living now? I think you kind of need to make a list of the things that are most important to you in a place. List everything on both sides and go from there. There is actually a website that asks you a bunch of questions and at the end it tells you where you might be suited to. Let me see if I can dig it up.

That was quick and easy, here ya go:
