I-94 number for I-129F?

Hi there,

I'm currently in Boston, MA and working through the K-1 forms with my fiance. On entry to the USA I had to go through secondary passport control (I'm here for a couple of months and was here earlier in the year for a long stay). When they stamped my passport I didn't get the usual white card stapled in, with my departure number etc. However, I was advised that if I had filled out the visa waiver online, it was no longer necessary. Does anyone know anything about this? I need to give my I-94 number on the I-129F form and don't have one!!

I hope someone can help. Or perhaps there is an organisation I should contact?

Thanks!

Try the Customs and Border Protection, I think Im right in saying, they will be able to help you Im sure.

www.cbp.gov (i think)

I dont think the i-94 number is vital to include, I remember when I did the k1 and didnt include the i-92 number on the i129f.

RJI,

They were correct in telling you that as long as you filled out the ESTA thing online, you wouldn't need the I-94 stapled in your passport. It's a new thing, implemented only recently, I think in September of this year. On the I-129F you can probably write that you last entered the US as a vistor on the VWP and then use a supplement to mention that as of recently visitors on the VWP are no longer required to fill out the I-94 so you don't have that information. You should still be able to fill in the arrival date and valid until date as usual.

Welcome to VJ and good luck with the rest of your journey. And also, woo hoo!! Another Boston-UK couple! :)

Edited to say: I double checked my info here: http://cbp.gov/xp/cgov/travel/id_visa/business_pleasure/vwp/faq_vwp.xml (click on ESTA and the I-94W)
