Well . i sometimes feel the same but lemme tell you something...don't let this THOUGHTS affect you , you didn't really see how is it there..how can you worry about something isn't even there or you don't know anything...believe me not all what you think or prepare for goes like what you want...so stop worrying and think about positive things like how to be a better person...what you gotta do for living and all of these stuff..i wish you got what i meant.

Sam

I think you just need to be realistic enough to expect your lifestyle to be different. Some things will be a little strange for you for a while, but all new things take time to adjust to.

Fortunately, you will have the love of your fiance to help you through some of your ups and downs. You are not only going to have to adjust to married life, but also the differences in America from your home country. Plus, you will be missing your family back home.

All of us here on VJ felt all these things in our own way, and I have to tell you, I've been here for 6 years, and I sometimes still miss my life in Canada. And Canada is very similar to the U.S. in so many ways, but I miss my family and friends every day.

Just give yourself lots of time to adjust to your new life here in the U.S. and talk to your fiance about any of your fears.

Good luck!!!!

You will be fine.....We call it butterflies :)

Remember when you were in college that some times you felt butterflies before you took a test. Then after the test was over you came out saying "it was easy"

He is just as nervous as you :) and you will feel the same way when you have your first child. Big life changes make anyone nervous. When i was young i used to carry around a life checklist in my wallet.

I put every important thing on the list and whenever i was nervous or scared about anything that didnt seem to go according to my plan i just looked at the list and reevaluated it. sometimes i would adjust it, sometimes i relized it was part of a goal that i had already had and was just a part of the path.

helped me alot through life, i still have it in my wallet actually, just havnt needed to look at it in a long time :) guess that means life is going well for me :).

When my cathy comes we will make the same plan but this one for our family plan, it will go on my wallet and my fridge:)

i think it helps, i just put all my fears and my wants on the list in order of importance and just tackle the first item on the list as my number one priority and adjust as life makes me.

its a great feeling when you can remove something from the list that youve worked on for years.
