Why would they send you an RFE? Didn't you use the new I-129F form?

I didn't get touched for almost 3 months and that was pre IMBRA. just relax.

I can't see why you are expecting an RFE or a touch. You sent your petition less than a month ago and they still have not processed March petitions. Many people never get touched.

Best to relax and plan for a long wait.

I filed my 129F petition on june using the new form with the new questions from IMBRA and I recieved the stupid RFE same as the one everyone from before march. I dont how they work in these petition since every case is different. I"m still wating for my NOA2 and I havent get even a touch. I"m in the VSC

It is not unusual to not receive touches every week throughout the three months wait. Like I said, I was not touched during the 76 day wait until one day before I got approved. If you submitted your petition in late June, then you should be expecting something near late September... that would be 3 months! Sometimes VSC is fast sometimes it's not so fast, just try not to compare your case too much with othere cause they're all different!

And like I said before- you shouldn't get an RFE unless you forgot to send something as you should have used the new I-129f form. It is common to not get touched frequently.

Hi Beck and San!

Just asking your question: We sent our 129f on July, 07, they received it on July, 10. Our NOA1 = July, 27 and our first "touched"( I noticed it)= August, 9th.

and about the processing times on USCIS... no so "updated" like that...

So NO PANIC! Good luck to all and good vibes from Brazil!!!

Well, Becky and Sam got 'touched' (above) - the only reason I think about an RFE is because I'm sure I must have screwed something up becuase I sent in my paperwork before I found this site :( - It just seems like that even those of you who have been waiting a long time got touched pretty quicky, (just to see if all the paperwork was complete?) and then got the RFE - then had to wait a long time.

If I am not mistaken, a regular RFE basically moves you back down to the bottom of the pile :( I am just hoping if I am going to get an RFE I'd get it soon, perhaps if i got a couple touches, at least I could think maybe I didn't screw anything up... *sigh*

Bill

PS what you see as a 'touch' for me was just because I called, not a 'real touch' - hehe

You're mistaken. :)

Once an RFE is issued and returned, normal processing picks back up.

So im in the same boat as u but i wont worry until it hits the 3 month mark..then start thinking...maybe i should go in there and look for it and put it at the top of the pile for them..hahah..wish we could all do that..lol!! have a good day and hang in there!!

Three things....

If you followed the instructions and satisfy all the requirements on the I-129F then you should be good to go. There are items such as cover letters that are mentioned on this site that may make your petition easier for the USCIS to read, as well as look more professional, but aren't required. I believe one of the most common RFE's that are issued have to do with not providing enough evidence of meeting within the past two years.

A regular RFE does NOT put you on the bottom of the pile. In fact it's quite the opposite. It should put you on top. Mine and many others were approved within two days after sending the RFE back so it's not that bad of a thing. I'd rather be RFE'd then just sit there with nothing happening :)

Relax, it will come soon enough. Be patient.
