I need some advice quickly. I filed the I-129F and received my NOA but it is now 3 weeks now and I've not heard a word from them. I checked the official site and checked the case status and it still reads the same thing that it is being processed. I have no problems with the law or other wise. I hope to receive the NOA2 soon. But I was wondering what is the hold up?? Monday is a holiday at their office is closed which means that there is another day of no processing what can I do to expedite this if I can. I'm sure in Vermont they are rushing out today(Friday) to begin the long holiday weekend but I'm trying to be patient as possible I don't want them to send me a R.E.D. right now that will really delay our documents even though I have all my papers in order what should we do???

Second the love of my life was having a problem with her tooth. I sent her to the dentist and it was resolved, but there are other concerns with her teeth now. I'm worried about the dental exam before being granted the fiancee visa. Her family dentist says that she needs: FILINGS, DENTURES FOR THE TEETH IN THE BACK THAT WAS REMOVED, IMPRESSIONS OF THE UPPER AND LOWER TEETH, AND THE COUPLE OF DECAYING TEETH NEED REPAIR, AND FINALLY WHITENING OF THE TEETH. (My fiancees' love of rice, coca cola, coffee, cobra and samurai has taken its toll. HA HA... BUT IN MY OPINION, I believe everything minus the dentures for the 4 missing back teeth are needed before she comes here. I have excellent dental insurance here and after we are married she will be covered I'm busting my #### to save for all the travel expenses for us because I want to visit her family and she and I go to the embassy together. She is a lovely woman but never even been on an aircraft or any of the things I know about travel airlines, airports, layovers, gates, etc. The total expenses will be about 1,200 or so to complete the dental work but I need to do other things with this money. If there is no way around it then ok but if it can wait till state side then great. Can someone with exact info on the dental requirements please respond quickly to my query? Thanks and God bless.

Approvals take and average of 5 months.

The embassy doesn't care if someone needs fillings or teeth whitening. They will care however if someone has something like Tuberculosis.

3 weeks, and you are already moaning!! :bonk: I really hope you've been reading this forum. Expect to wait 3 to 5 months for petition approval, and then your loved one has the medical exam and interview to deal with.

If you are starting to moan now, with only 3 weeks gone, you are going to be a mess by the time it is approved.

This is a long, process. But well worth it, to be with the love of your life.

You remind me of me at the start of this process! I didnt see how it could possibly take so long, but 4 and a half months down the line I am still waiting! Its horrid, it sucks. and there aint much we can do about it.

I received the NOA1 for my wife on the 27th of May 2010 and have not heard one single word from the USCIS since. I have read that the USCIS does not want to hear from you until 5months have passed then you can inquire of the status. It is extremely hard to have to wait so long. Thank God for Magic Jack and Yahoo messenger because we can talk anytime and see each other on web cam. If it had not been for that, I don't know how I would have been able to stand being apart for so long. What is still discouraging is that once the NOA2 arrives, it is another 60 to 90 days at best before my wife can come here to the USA. I finally decided that I could not wait any longer without being with her so I have scheduled a vacation in late November to go and see her.

You need a lot of patience to endure your Visa journey. Good Luck

Don't fret yet; it's still too early. You're going to have to be a lot more patient than that. Some couples had to wait 5 to 7 months for NOA2. (I've even seen timelines that show an 8-month or more wait.) My fiancé and I have been waiting for almost 6 months now. We know the RFE, which they sent us 3 1/2 months after NOA1, caused the delay. We've been waiting almost 2 months since they received our RFE response; the wait is testing my patience (which I have never had a lot of to begin with). I was okay before. It was only fairly recently that I started feeling restless about having to wait this long.

Good luck to us!

Hi there...about ur NOA2, its too early for u to stay worried about it..mine took 3 months after NOA1..pls. be patient...u can see my time line

with regards to her dental work---i will suggest to have it fixed in the Phils..although facility wise, they may not have the best there, esp. if she is living in the province like me but better than letting her suffer from tooth decay ...i had all my bad teeth filled and cleaned before coming to the States (reason: i knew it was costly in the US and not for any other reasons)..if the amount she asked for her dental work is Ph 1,200, then its so cheap and reasonable..

Shawn...Since you have more time on your hands than you thought you did, I would suggest that you check out the dental thing. I'm not convinced that it would be cheaper for your fiancée to get her dental work in the States using your "excellent insurance."

Have your fiancée get a written estimate from her dentist so you know exactly what work he's proposing for that $1200. Then run it by your dentist to find out how much you would be out-of-pocket if your dentist did the work. You could be in for a rude shock.

Grrrr how do you put quotes in the green box thingy???

Like this:

[quote="somebody"]Text you want to quote.[/quote]

If you just want to quote somebody's post (like I quoted yours) then click the "Reply" button below the post. The editor will open, and the box will contain the quote already initialized. You just type outside the 'quote' tags. The forum software adds a timestamp and post number to the quote, which makes it a little better formatted and adds a link back to the original post, but the example above can be used to quote pretty much anything.

It's called BBCode, which originally meant "Bulletin Board Code". It's a managed variation on HTML.

Thanx for the reply, I checked that stuff out and she would be covered under my dental plan 100% unless she is doing something cosmetic for example, White fillings in opposed to the adverage metal ones, or oral surgery and the only thing I would need is to pay a referal co-pay fee of $50 and the anestetic. But everything she needs to have completed there in the Pinas she is covered for here but not the whitening or cosmetic dental work.
