Need I remind you that impersonating a federal officer, which USCIS employees are, is (maybe) a federal crime. So don't even joke about these things. Remember you are all upstanding citizens. That's why you are given the option to bring your loved ones to America.

It's doubtful that a CO will be able to deduce anything from what is said on an internet forum. Don't worry. In general you shouldn't admit to doing anything illegal anywhere unless I can guarentee anonymity, or you were talking to a lawyer.

A Consulate Officer tied to USCIS. I doubt it. Let's see, USCIS approves the petition then sends it on to the NVC, who sends it on to the Consulate, who in tern eventually, grants an interview for the Fiance, with a CO. Do they share information, I hope so, or we would be constantly sending multiple forms everywhere.

There was a Consular officer at the US Consulate in Montreal who read VJ pretty regularly - enough to identify the various VJ applicants by their user names here from their posted circumstances and related information. He mentioned it to a number of them during their interviews and it was discussed at length in the Canada forum.

“...Isn't it splendid to think of all the things there are to find out about? It just makes me feel glad to be alive--it's such an interesting world. It wouldn't be half so interesting if we knew all about everything, would it? There'd be no scope for imagination then, would there?”

Yes, I know we send multiple forms evreywhere. I meant sending the same forms to USCIS, NVC and the Consulate.

If they don't share the information then there is a cost savings the congress should look at.

Not trying to be difficult, but some information seems to be repeatedly asked for.

Just wandering if Uscis is among us to get a feel of us. Does anyone know of this?

COs, USCIS workers, and NVC workers are human beings too. They get bored, wonder, and play with the web just like we do. The more they monitor this site the better it is for everyone, in helping all parties to understand each other. Fact, some COs actually fall in love and must go through the same process as we all do.

Seriousness aside, a few days ago I made a post regarding how slow USCIS was in processing my wife's re entry permit. Processing time is generally 3 months, but ours is taking four months. 24 hours later I received an email that her case was processed and documents mailed to us. It was coincidence I'm sure.

But even if it wasn't, I'm glad someone is paying attention and undertanding the process of wanting to be with people with love. :)

The internet is definately a great tool for everyone.

**** filed K3/CR1 concurrently. My wife and I both work/live overseas. The following timeline continues from the approval of the K3 VISA.

I would love to see that post if you can find it!

While I can see a huge benefit of the USCIS folks spending some time here to understand the other side of waiting for the process, I also think it could have some drawbacks if this is in fact true. Because if you are trashing USCIS about your interactions with them, and have posted extensively about your case particulars, it would not be a far fetch of the imagination for you to encounter some ill feelings from the people you have trashed. No one likes to get their feelings hurt even government employees.

Based on the caseloads at some consulates and USCIS posts, we all should hope they are not spending too much time here because it would be taking time away from working on cases.
