yes talked to local local Pakistani lady, they haven't send 221g document to me or my fiancée yet, she told me verbally, said we are sending case back to U.S, will send latter to your fiancée about it.

FWIW, 221G document allows you to submit more evidence.

You won't get this document now, as the casefile is tagged 'to go back' to USA with 'denied' status.

I think is procedural error, that's my opinion about your casefile,

and

you have small 'time window' to engage with Senator's office today,

to

remedy problem next week.

If you fail to give your lass this info

and

if she fails to get the Senator's office engaged today

then

the casefile, next week, will be shipped out to USA.

It's yer choice, really.

Do nothing? expect to know something in 11 months.

Do what I've described? GOOD CHANCE to keep casefile in Islamabad, have Senior CO fix all of this, because Senator asked him to.

Congressman cannot help you, it is beyond their control. I just hate it when anyone problem comes ppl reccom talking to congressman.

They can only help on certain things once it comes under their jurisdiction.

If the marriage took place or not congressman's office is not going to know about it.

Best bet for you would be try to find out what makes CO think you guys were married and in fact if you guys were married and yet you filed for K1 then its going to be rejected.

So you need to basically make CO understand you guys have been engaged and not married yet and if you have plans for getting married in US once your K1 is approved then you can share those plan with CO so they can understand that you will be married once you come to US on K1.

ya, sorry, CO won't talk to him, at this stage.

The ONLY way to get any CO to re-evaluate, prior to shipping off to the USA/USCIS -

is for an ILS Human to engage the CO to actually re-evaluate.

Sure, it's not easy to do - if it was, you'd hear more success stories about it.

But it IS possible - and takes much diligence when talking with the ILS human, as

this is much more than a 'simple Congressional Inquiry'.

It's not an error. . .they lied to the father about being married, and then when put into AP he was interviewed and told the officer what he thought to be the truth. . .that they were already married. There is likely no recourse, though if anyone knows how to fix it, Marc Ellis would be a good chance.

With Pakistan, it might take less time just to go ahead with the marriage and subsequent filing. . .they've already wasted months on the AP

It's good to know the end of this story, remember what we discussed before? I told you this was probably what was happening!

I am very sad for the both of you, I do recall the same situation where the embassy called the father and said that the couple was married and confusing him. I kinda agree with either getting an attorney and or going ahead with the marriage. So sorry there's nothing else we can offer to say to help.

Ya, Faisal Khan had the exact same problem with his father and a phone call, as well.

Geez, what a game !

I might be someone at the Embassy is so bad at the language translation to confuse the person they call on the phone this needs to be brought to the attention of someone higher up the food chain. I can see how easy it would be to confuse engagement party or pre-wedding party in a foreign language with marriage party.

(i visited a spanish speaking country and told them I wanted to go down the street and pick up a pistola (gun) when I meant pilicula (movie)..but that is another story)

The Petitioner should get on the phone with Congressperson as well as try to call Station Chief at USCIS post or Embassy processing this and inquire as to what is happening here exactly. And/or Ombudsman might be able to get some answers for you.

good luck

To be honest not being married hence no marriage documents.

Arguing will just waste of time with embassy thought they dun have any documentation prof, and how can they have proof when no such marriage took place.

i have requested to my fiancée visit here in Pakistan after marriage we will file shadi visa again. can you please guide me how can file shadi visa here in Islamabad embassy ? any reference document ?

or guide me what to do.

I am sorry about you guys.
