I'm sure this question gets asked A LOT and I apologize for asking again, but I've searched and searched, even on different websites and no luck.

Has anyone successfully done a walk-in and gotten their biometrics done in the Naperville, IL office recently? I just got my appointment letter today and it's scheduled for Nov. 1st.

Ofcourse, that's the weekend that my family in VA is throwing me a big weekend halloween baby shower (I'm due in December) and all of my friends are flying in from different parts of the country where they go to school to be there :girlwerewolf2xn: ... and its from Oct 30th, lasting until Nov 1st (my family went over the top and has planned an all weekend thing for the women and men..)

So I'm hoping someone says they accept walk-ins at this location! I was planning on just going one day and seeing if they would let me or not but I wanted to get some people's feedback on this location first and see what day of the week and time of day they went, etc. because it's a little over an hour drive from where I live to just drop by, and the traffic here sucks.

It's no biggie if they don't let me.. I can just leave a day early and miss the last day of the festivities since getting this AOS process done is more important to me than a bunch of college women measuring my belly, gossiping :secret: , eating :pop: , reminiscing about the past  , and getting manicures and pedicures all weekend! Although, I am looking forward to all the food :luv:

Honestly don't know. I would **hope** that they see your large protruding belly and take pity on you... They might try and tell you that you could have written in to reschedule but my response to that would be seeing you're due in December who knows what will happen between now and then and you'd rather just get it out of the way now and focus on growing the baby...

I'd try. Certainly can't hurt to try. I believe I read once that Wednesdays are a slow day at most offices, and after 2pm. Give that a try and GOOD LUCK!!

p.s. I had a friend that went one day and was not allowed. Went back the following day and was let in no problems. So if in doubt, try try again.

No problem :) I did a walk-in too. they asked me why and I said because of my husbands erratic working schedule re-scheduling would be a pain because there's no guarantee he'd be free to drive me then either. That and we drove 3 hours to get there. It was true too. We needed the money so it wasn't like he could just take days off whenever he wanted.

The biometrics takes MAYBE 15 minutes (there's a review in my timeline for my office, and also in the AOS thread in my signature). It's super quick. Offer to wait (mine said I might have to wait till the end of the day and I said "no problem"), offer to come back when they're not so busy, just state that the date selected doesn't work and that you're worried about a reschedule due to the baby and the medical appointments etc that can occur from that.

I'd try today honestly. You have the letter. Give it a go and see how you end up :) I look forward to your positive review. Make sure you take your appointment letter, passport and marriage certificate. you'll need to know your height (in feet and inches) and weight (in pounds).
