good luck to you. Its another life lesson, you will walk away from this a stonger smarter man that has experienced something that some ppl never do in their whole life. I feel for you!

Exactly what I was thinking. Your heart will heal with (maybe a lot) time and you will become stronger. Maybe she needs time to sort out her feelings. . .I am sure it is hard on her also . . . only time will tell.

You are a good person not to begrudge her. I am sorry for what happended.

10Yr GC arrived 07/02/09 - Naturalization is next

The drama begins - again!

And now the drama ends - they took the Green card . . .

You come across as a right darling David... am so sorry this did not work out... and I agree with those who said this - the woman you do spend the rest of your life with is one very lucky person ((((((((((HUGS))))))))))

Paul and I met on the Bazaar on the 14th January (he joined my progressive rock forum that day)

July 3rd he flew to England to meet me

We fell in love while he drove all over the place coz I cannot read maps (we were supposed to go to Ingleton - but touched Darlington 4 times, Pierce Bridge 6 times, Scotch Corner twice and Bernard Castle twice and we never did make it to Ingleton)

It has been so long and so much has happened in between...

Arrived in Houston on October 29th 2006

Married 17th November 2006

Lost my father 8th January 2007 (all dates are a blur after this)

Conditional Green Card dated 24th October 2007

well...it's me again. This saga has taken some new turns, bumps and unexpected twists. Love can be the most painful emotion yet the most gratifying of all emotions. Funny thing how love works.

I was going to go on to say that, 1) she called me to say that she was heartfully sorry, 2) she made a huge mistake and 3) is there any chance that we could re-unite. She goes on to say that the she can't stop thinking about me and that the memories, pictures and dvd movie I made her keep me in her mind and heart. If you've been around the block, I'm sure we've all heard this once or more before. To make a long story short, she knows she screwed up, she understands if I don't want to be with her but she would like just one more opportunity to prove she loves me. She goes on to say she would only need one more because what happened would never happen again. Sound familiar to some of us? So what did I say? I told her to go stick it where the...no, no...kidding...I'm not that kind of guy..hehe. I told her that what she did was screwed up of course and yes she was crying and asking for forgiveness and such. But come on, I'm 36 y.o. too.....seen that look already. But I took it in stride, adjusted my shades and let her know we could start anew but it would be slow and nothing was guaranteed. Told her I was already chatting with other ladies (and I am) and have been getting my mind re-focused on my hobbies again (which I am). This was all done over the phone and MSN chat over about 5 hours of damage control. In any case, I may be a fool and maybe this not the best for me but you know what, life is short and people aren't perfect. Can I say for certain this will work. Noope, I can't. Might she slip again? There's always that doubt. I guess we all have the potential to...some more then others. But at the end of the day, when I go to bed tired and think of her, she does brighten up my day like no one else. I'm willing to take the risk and see how time and distance plays out for us. I'm in no hurry and to see her on occasion is about a $300 plane ticket. What's that old saying, it's better to know the devil you know then the devil you don't know. Cheers.

If you do decide to go back with her, make sure she is not pregnant or is in any legal problems and needs financial help. Some thing similar to this happened to a friend of mine. She went back with her ex-boyfriend. She ended up getting pregnant. Her ex-boyfriend who was her current boyfriend didnt want anything to do with her. She didnt want to end up alone and with a baby, she decided to go back with my friend. She cried and told him she missed him and that she saw that he really loves her. She told him a lot of stuff and he did went back with her. After a couple of weeks together she was pregnant. His family and I told him to have DNA Test after the baby was born. After telling him, she was in a rush into getting marry. His mother was able to get him to wait until the baby was born. The baby was born a couple of months later and he wanted to do the dna tets but she didnt. She was like how he didnt believe her that the child was his. He was able to get a DNA test done and he soon find out that it wasnt his. When he confronted her about it. She told him what happened. She only went back because he has a good job and was ready to settle in.

It could be that she really want to be with you, but you might want to find out what happened during the time you two werent together.
