Package 4 ? or Immigration Visa (IV) DS-230 ?

IF DS-230 set -

yup. see http://travel.state.gov/visa/immigrants/info/info_3190.html page 3 - I assume you have white book notarial translations, yes? scan those, send those. if you'd like to sneak in more bonafide marriage evidence, you can - see http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/267559-usa-is-now-arizona/page__view__findpost__p__4100571

if packet 4 - no - Packet 4 is the appointment letter, you'll receive it via email, print it out, go get yer medical exam done.

Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

My lawyers are referring to the packet 4. She did say it was a letter my husband will receive in the mail telling him what to bring and so on. I already submited everything the NVC required and we are just waiting for the interview. She said we can submit pictures and contact records with the packet 4? It didn't make sense to me either cuz I thought it was just a letter and theres nothing to be submitted with that?

Darnell,

If my wife is in Chengdu, China. Will her interview still be scheduled in Guangzhou (even though Chengdu has a consulate)? So in that case, can I do the electronic processing of NVC through Guangzhou?

Thanks for your help!

Hi,

Although they have a consulate in Chengdu, but i think for CR1, you have to go to Guangzhou for interview. We live near Beijing and we still have to go to Guangzhou. And yes! you can do the electronic processing but just remember to opt in.

Holy Moly !

Sorry, Chengdu not handle immigration visas, at all. Must go to Guangzhou (as all other immigrant visa applicants).

NVC Electronic Processing happens @ NVC, for casefiles headed to Guangzhou - hers will be headed to GUANGZHOU, never Chengdu.

NVC Regular Processing happens at NVC also, for those NON-EP casefiles.

Did you wish to OPT IN for NVC Electronic Processing? Yes? No ?

My OPTIN was pretty quick. On the very first day I get the GUZ number I immediately emailed the OPTIN email with the DS-3032 attached. They were quick the re-assign me a GZO number the next day. But my trouble is then the invoice never came, even though I was given an invoice number with the GUZ number.

In hind sight I probably should have waited till I receive the invoice in email before I OPTIN. That's just my guess.

Today, 12 work days after I switched to electronic processing, I finally see the light at the end of tunnel that they are probably going to send me the invoice any time now, as I could not log into the payment portal today.

They gave you the wrong information. DS-260 is the online filled immigration application form to eventually replace DS-230. But right now it is only on a pilot test program required in a number of selected consulates. Guangzhou is NOT one of them. So NO, do not send DS-260. You need to fill out DS-230 and scan the file into PDF to be emailed in. Hold on to the paper document for the interview day.

Why was your case delayed for so long at NVC? Did they tell you what is missing?

Hey, my case was held up at the NVC due to police certificate from China. Now it is held up at embassy due to police certificate from Singapore... Ironically, our case was handled by a lawyer and I feel that they messed it up more than anything.
