Learn my lesson as well, I bought my brother a ticket for Saturday and called the CFO tonight for my brother's seminar, gal on the phone said the first available seat is on Oct. 20.I'm doomed, I asked him to walk in, hopefully but maybe not, he can get in.

I have no doubt that your brother can get in. Just like others did...so do I.

CFO has no "call for an appoinment" policy and usually the seminar lasts for an hour or two.

CFO is for all immigrants leaving the PI. The classes are different for immigrants to different countries.

CFO only for Philippine Immigration (law). Thats the reason why I didnt go home or get a flight as stop over or 8 hours in Manila after I got my visa in Kuala Lumpur . Suprisingly, the Philippine Embassy in KL the person I spoke with they dont even know the requirement or I would say tehy dont know about CFO..they told me that you can ask US Embassy if you still needed. Grrrhh!!! why US Embassy??? I reiterated to her that CFO is for Philippine law not US and she got a bit irritated and she even said ok this topic is "tapos na"...meaning she doesnt want to entertain my concerns regarding CFO..but since I asked another issues which she knows the answer she was totally friendly and exact opposite.:-)

Cenomar & CFO only for Phils law.:-) Though I got my Cenomar through my mom just in case they asked for it..and I even asked the officer during the pre-screening if they need Cenomar..they dont even care about it.:-)

If you were entering the US or Canada from a foreign country as an immigrant activating your status for the first time, the CFO seminar requirement is waived, you would just have to register online...weird, huh?

Actually, I read vividly the websites and that makes me confused!!!:-) True it says WAIVED!!! but then like you said it's weird because need to register online:-)What's that???!!! Much better, if they said that Waived the seminar but need to register online..hehe;-) And, sadly I also clear up this matter in KL Philippine Embassy but they just told me they are not familiar with it or they are not under CFO..duh!!;-))))

Filipinos residing or working outside the Philippines whose immigrant or residence visas were issued abroad may avail of the remote (on-line registration or by facsimile). Only those residing or working outside the Philippines whose immigrant or permanent residence visas are issued abroad may avail of this registration.
