i was considering flying back to be there for the interview and then everything in Egypt went down and the embassy is closed. So I am in America and he is in Comoros. Plus, there is no us embassy in comoros, so he has to fly to madagascar. Flights to madagascar are like $2500 roundtrip, why does air travel have to be so expensive lol.

Yeah, it is expensive. I am paying $1330 to fly roundtrip. It will cost me another $250 to change the date of the return flight if the interview is sooner than expected.

thats tough but totally worth it.

it would be easier if we were both in cairo that way a trip would only be 1000 and we already have an apartment there

i hope you have a fantastic trip.

Thank you! I am nervous about flyind. Not sure why, as I have flown numerous amounts of times, including by myself from Germany to Maryland at the age of 7, and from MD to Germany alone again at the age of 9, and back again at the age of 11. Puerto Rico, Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Oklahoma, etc... I mean literally so many times, but I have not flown since before the 2001 incident, I think that and the fear of airpockets is getting to me! Aaaaaahhh!!

So Tier officer 2 Vasquez goes: The Officer Before must have misinformed us.

Our Case was ACCIDENTLY being put into the System by October 20th, but we got our NOA 1 by OCTOBER 4th !! So they said OOPS Sorry, thats why you are not out of normal Processing time. If you havent heard by April 18th from Us, call again and we will officially place a Service Request. If by MAY 1st you havent gotten anything, you qualify for EXPEDITE !!! How is that possible =/ That is so unfair not towards you but , why do congressman work so differntly on this ? We just got a letter from our Congressman stating they will look just into this case.

We called USCIS again ..and now they stated again October 4th.

I don't want to complain, I really and truly am happy for others getting NOA2s, but my heart is absolutely broken. I wish they would just LOOK at our case. My fiance and I have known each other for over ten years - been dating for over three - lived together for almost a year in his country - our case is solid and would take a split second to make a decision on if they LOOKED at our file. But we continue to sit in a box somewhere. We continue to wait and rot away and I feel like putting daggers in my eyes every day when I check the USCIS website and see it reads the same date it has been reading for the last 5 and a half months.

*Sigh* Sorry guys. I was pretty patient up to a few weeks ago; every day that I get closer to six months is sheer torture.
