You may have something there Andy, I noticed that you have been tracking that statistic.

I also noted that March filers have been getting some attention lately. Could be something there too.

So far the only documentation I have our packet was even received has come from the US Postal service. At least they operate efficiently! ;)

I will hope for a speedy process, but plan on an extended process... In the end, J will be here with the kids and I and that is all that is truly important!

Hey there, Ready4One! Since we're filing buddies, I thought I would encourage you a little. I bet you any money you get your NOA1 in the mail this week. It took me exactly two weeks to get mine; it arrived on the 14th. And I think you filed a few days after me. Hang in there! It's on it's way. Know what you mean, though. For a while the only way I knew my packet made it anywhere was because I sent it certified mail and tracked the item number through USPS.

Let us know when you've got it!!

I was indeed happy to get mine! I'd had this horrendously long day at work and was utterly exhausted when I finally dragged my butt back home. I flipped open my mailbox on the way in my front door to discover an envelope from the Department of Homeland Security. My heart just leapt! I felt totally rejuvenated. Now, of course, I'm back to wanting something to happen again, but it's great to know the darned thing is at least in a file cabinet or on someone's desk now and in line to be evaluated. Here's to as few RFEs for you and me as possible!!! I'll be right here waiting to hear happy news from you this week. And it WILL happen this week. I just feel sure of it! :D

Oooo...Popcorn...don't mind if I do! Thanks, ready4One!

I don't mind describing my NOA1, if you like...

It's very official looking on high-quality color paper that I'm sure is designed to foil forgers. It's got lots of narrow, wavy, colored lines running through it diagonally and a pale, orange image of the Statue of Liberty torch in the middle. Its labeled in the upper righthand corner as "I-797, Notice of Action," and has a very federal-looking, elongated banner/cartouche inscribed with "The United States of America" just beneath and centered across the top of the page. Below the banner is a series of boxes containing information pertinent to your case...receipt number, case type, received date, petitioner, beneficiary, notice date, your address and the amount received in fees. The body of the form is composed of all the expected mumbo jumbo about processing times and some stuff that applies to people who are filing forms other than ours. At the very bottom is contact information for the CSC and a bar code. There you have it, my friend!

You don't have a bottle of wine to go with this, do you...? Wanna plug in a movie...? Something to take our minds off the waiting...? :)

When the CSC approvals first started coming in it looked like they were taking three weeks. That is now creeping up to 35-45 days which looks like they are getting swamped again. I hope they can keep up and the delays dont get worse. :(
