Standard Response for expedite

So the email received was yesterday morning to say we will know whether we have been approved expedite. It said it its granted it'll be adjudicated in 24hours , Im wondering whether they mean literally, or just by the end of today...

I'm guessing 24 hours, but expect notification AFTER that time, not prior.

Case has been touched today (this afternoon) but still in initial review. Making a phone call now for an update..

ok...the wife is going to call right now, hopefully she can get to a Tier 2...ring ring..nervous..it's still 2:30 pm in California on a friday afternoon..Wazzup, lol

Im a bit confused as to what 24 hours actually means in the US!

The better half has called twice today - to see if we get the same answer. We did froma tier 2 - we should heard something within 3 - 4 days. Make that a week cos of the weekend and soddin' Columbus Day!

The reasoning behind it was that dr are concerned so they want to see what the uscis are doing about the situation.

Watch this space as they say! I think we have more chance of winning an Olympic Gold in Synchronized swimming than getting an answer today.

Still, i guess its nice to know its being 'worked on' in some capacity.

24 hours 'can' mean 24 hours... I always take it that way..

My wife tried to call..they wont let her get to a Tier2..####### does she have to say to get through that Tier 1 bullshit?

say that you need specific info from an immigration services officer - tier 2. i think the customer serv reps are reluctant to pass people over cos it makes them look er....not too bright. ive experienced them like that at the uscis. get her to call and not down the name and agent number of the next one in case they refuse again. technically they shouldnt. but they do.

im a little confused and anxious. the iso told my wife that it looks like an expedite decision is pending this afternoon. around the time our case was touched again today. BUT there has been no update after that. i have a feeling csc are pretty hot with online updating, so im leaning towards thinking theyve already made the decision, denied the request and will process in the normal time frame now, so to speak. or do they also let you know if its declined, too?

if so is it cceptable to gather even more compelling evidence and submit it with another request?

the documents sent to the uscis were of course independent and stressed the emergent need of such. personally i am sitting thinking how long does it take to read 13 documents and make a decision. although i imagine its a little more complicatedl

in fact the iso on the phone said its not bad news its just still pending. although im prepared for the worst and my gut is telling me they will say no.

its complete bs. the expedite request is there for a reason. 4 professionals have advised my wife she meets at least 2 of the uscis criteria. so what do they do in an emergency situation...plod along!

imagine what a nightmare a fire drill would be like at csc?! itd take them 5 months. to evacuate the building!!!

Hey, I've dealt with the US gov't before when I had my E2 visa..nothing surprises me anymore..I think a decision was made in my case but the Tier 1 said that sometimes even a typo on the email or case # can throw it off..or get's lost..I dunno.
