Why do some consulate employees treat people like crap?

I am glad to be an American Citizen because, for the most part, American Government employees are pretty reasonable, easygoing, and do not demand bride. However, I cannot help but feel like I was treated like a child the last time I visit a local USCIS office, which is 4 years agp. Why is that? It is because non-citizen give USCIS's employees too much respect? Worst of all is the local consulate employees abroad. They truly treat people like dirt. I heard stories of them tooling applicants during interview for bullshit reasons like: what is the price for a room in Las Vegas?

I certainly don't wanna meet one of them officers cause  i don't know the price of a room in Las Vegas, but i would frustrate him by simply answering his idiotic questions with a straight forward answers like .. i have never been to Vegas i don't know what the price of a room there would be.

But that's horrible if it's true.

Before i and my wife got married we went to the American Embassy here in Cairo to get a permission to get married, it's a piece of paper saying that the consulate is OK with this marriage. my wife was called to the window but i went with her anyway i was standing there listening to the conversation between the officer and her, i even interrupted them and i asked the officer a question, i really felt very comfortable in there, and the security guards and officers were cordial, polite and nice.

Find a job you love to do, and you will never work another day in your life.

The "vegas" comment is because someone claimed they were getting married in vegas, and they were staying in vegas but didn't know the room cost. There were several other questions asked and the person wasn't denied, they were simply asked for more evidence of relationship.

ya, 'local workers' are baaaaaaaaaad. I'm convinced 'it's a game ' for them, to trip up any visa applicants at the IV units.

USCitizen Workers, Visa Officers, Consular Officials, mostly aren't like this.

Perhaps the local workers are the 'trained dogs' , to bite and snarl? I hate it, always.

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.
