Has anyone use USPS certificate of mailing?

Does anyone have experience using USPS's certificate of mailing? Do I need to show the postal worker what I send in my package? Or I just show them the package and buy the certificate of mailing for it? Is first class with delivery confirmation better than certified mail when sending to USCIS? Thx

Certificate of Mailing - Only gives you proof that you mailed a letter/package. There is NO tracking.

Certified mail - You can track your package online & a signature is required.

Delivery Confirmation - You can track your package online.

You physically do not have to show the postal employee what is in your package. They just ask you " is there anything perishable, liquid, hazardous, etc, in this package?"

I personally use express mail.

Regardless of which method you pick -

IF you are requiring a 'signature on delivery'

then send it to the courier address, not the PO Box.

Personally, I like Priority Mail, without signature but with 'normal tracking', to the PO Box.
