Hello all, This might be covered in here somewhere but......

I applied for 129F and was approved back in July 26th, 2010. Still no contact from Manila embassy. I recieved my case number from NVC back in August. We do have a problem that my fiance divorce was not recognized in Philippines and have since petitioned the courts for corecting that.

My main question would be, now what? We are just waiting for everything? Will the cancel the case number due to no activity? Who do we contact for extension? there is no email and the PAID number was for interviews!

Right now i think im just in some lost hell hole! PLZ someone have an answer to how i get answers and contacted

Thanx.

Check your NOA2...I believe it's only good for 4 months. within that time the petitioner or the beneficiary should have contacted the Embassy to set the visa interview, and the visa application should have been processed.

Found this post dated July 2010: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/29320-i-129f-approval-expires/page__view__findpost__p__4079466

According to the post, the US Embassy will automatically extend the NOA2 approval to another 4 months and contact you to ask if you are still pursuing it.

You may want to confirm that with the Embassy...if it's true, then it may buy you guys some time to get the divorce issue straightened out.

Suggest you have the USCitizen petitioner contact DoS Hotline, ask for casefile status -

review http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/264972-shortcuts-when-checking-for-updates-from-the-nvc-and-dos/

Dodi's posted 'how to call'

and further down, I've posted 'what you can get'.

Good Luck !

(No, DoS Hotline != Embassy here, but - they do share the same data)

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !

Did a quick search here on the VJ site:

US Embassy Manila: 301-2000 ext. 5184-5185 Identify yourself as the US Citizen petitioner and have your NVC Case Number ready

Department of State: (202)663-1225

DoS Hotline Not Equal Embassy, ever.

What's up ?

Suggest you send this page via email link to yer uscitizen petitioner - have him/her read it, then follow through with the 'Dodi/Darnell call list' and get the status in the USA.

I am the petitioner in the usa. All i can get is case number. I have tried every number and and email i can find and so far nothing! only info is what they have on their web page. IE give money and fill these forms.

We are doing the dissolution process but takes time. More time than we have. been 3 months since approval of 129f and still no contact with embassy at all, I have confirmed they have package and the case number. We also have a deadline date of Nov 20th.

People on here have told me they do extensions but i have no conformation or contact with them to even discuss. I paid 18 dollars to talk to a friggin automated #######.

I work Nights so I am very limited in when i can call or do anything and its extremely frustarting when i spend what little time I have getting no where

Well hey - that's cool you work nights - as that gives you time during the day to use the call list that I linked in here. Those offices are open when yer not working - so make a plan and a list of questions, and call them !

REREAD the content in that link (click the link with the mouse thingie, and read it) - it's OK to click that link - I SWEAR NO MALWARE will be installed on yer computer ! Seriously !

The link contains content that'll be important to you on contacting NVC and DoS - and you need casefile status from DoS, soonish. Go back up to post #3 - click the links, soonish.

re: that 'validity of duration' - YOU CAN EMAIL PI IV unit and ask for it to be extended - did you find any email address on the PI Web Portal ?

I did email the embassy and ask and after 6 days i got a generated form letter stating go to website for info. I don't know how u people been doing anything but we r at witts end except for physically flying there we get no where. I am betond frustrated I want THERE HEADS ON A PLATTER. I want a direct number to a person in charge who will answer period. No letters, no contact i can call all day here in the states but does nothing at embassy wich is ignoring us. WHO is in control embassy, who can FIRE ALL USELESS WORKERS AT THE EMBASSY that what i need an #### kicker to clean house!

Right now i will just assume that its a lost cause. that we will be forgotten and denied simply because they not being bribed.
